I love Acer products that consists of UMPCs, LCD displays, and desktop PCs. One of my favorites is the new Veriton S461 compact desktop PC. The computer features an Intel Core 2 Duo E2200 processor, 2GB DDR2 RAM (max. 8GB), 80GB SATA hard drive, DVD burner, Gigabit LAN and an Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 3100. ACER Japan has recently released the X263Wbid LCD screen in Japan. This 25.5-Inch LCD screen offers 1,920×1,200 resolution, DVI/HDMI/Analog RGB interface, a brightness of 350cd/m², a contrast ratio of 3,000:1, a response time of 5ms and a view angle of 170 degrees. It is priced €390. [Acer]
Acer today introduced its G24 gaming monitor that features 50,000:1 ACM contrast and 2ms quick response time. This 24-inch 1920×1200 widescreen is suitable for true 1080p playback. Other features include Acer CrystalBrite technology, 400-nit brightness, 160/160 viewing angle, multimedia connectivity, Acer eColor and eDisplay technologies and intuitive onscreen display controls. Acer just released a new wifi projector directed towards professionals featuring a XGA (1,024 x 768) resolution, WiFi b/g connectivity, supports 720p/1080i high-definition video streaming wirelessly, is compatible with MPEG1, MPEG2, MPEG4, WMV9, AVI, DivX, XviD, ASF and VOB video formats, can connect D-Sub, DVI-D and HDMI, has 2700 ANSI Lumens brightness and a 2,000:1 contrast ratio. Acer will be launching their “world’s first 24-inch Full HD / 16:9 ratio LCD monitor.” It has a 1,920 x 1,200 resolution, a 20,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, touch-sensitive on-screen display and a 2-millisecond gray-to-gray response time. Acer today released its mini notebook computer, which is designed to make online activities fast, simple and cool. Known as the Acer Aspire One, the laptop measures at only 9.8-inches x 6.7-inches x 1.14-inches and weighs at around two pounds. The Aspire One adopts 8.9-inch CrystalBrite LED backlit display with a resolution of 1024×600 pixels with integrated Acer CrystalEye webcam. Other features include an Intel Atom processor, Linpus Linux Lite or Windows XP Home, a 512MB or 1GB of RAM, and a NAND flash module of 8GB or an 80GB internal HDD. Its card reader is able to read Secure Digital, MultiMediaCard, Memory Stick, Memory Stick PRO, and xD-Picture Card. The Acer Aspire Gemstone Blue notebooks will be available soon in the US via authorized resellers and selected retailers. The Gemstone Blue line are claimed to be the first 18.4 inch and 16 inch laptops in the market with true High Definition cinematic capabilities.
