Acer Aspire One D250 and 751 Released in the States

The Acer Aspire One D250 and 751 netbooks are now available in the US. Measuring 10.17-inch x 7.24-inch x 1-inch, the Acer Aspire One D250 has a 10.1 inch (1024 x 600 pixel) display with a 1.6GHz Intel Atom N270 CPU, a 1GB of RAM, a 160GB hard drive, a 3-cell (2600mAh) battery, and 802.11b/g/ Wi-FI. The netbook comes with an MSRP of $298.

The Aspire One 751 is bigger than the D250. It has an 11-inch (1364 x 768 pixel) display, an 1.22GHz Intel Atom Z520 CPU, a 1GB of RAM, a 160GB hard drive, and 802.11b/g WiFi. Measuring 11.18-inch x 7.79-inch x 1-inch, the Acer Aspire 751 carries an MSRP price of $379.99 with a 6 cell (5200mAh) battery or $349.99 with a 3 cell battery. [Engadget via Laptop Notebook News]

Acer Aspire Timeline Super Thin Notebook Series

Acer has proudly introduced three new members from its Acer Aspire Timeline super-thin laptop series. Known as the 3810T, 4810T and 5810T, these laptops feature Core 2 Duo SU9400 CPU running at 1.4GHz or a Core 2 Solo SU3500 CPU, 4GB of DDR3 which is upgradable to 8GB, 500GB of HDD or 80GB of SSD, DVD Super Multi Drive, and a choice of a 13.3 inch, 14 inch or 15.6 inch LCD screens with a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixel. Acer's eMachines EZ1600

The eMachines EZ1600 and the Aspire Z5600 are the latest all-in-one computer systems from Acer. The EZ1600 (pictured) is equipped with an 18.5-inch widescreen display with 16:9 720p resolution, an Intel Atom N270 processor paired with the 945GSE chipset, 160GB hard drive, 2 slots of SO DIMM memory, DVD burner, WiFi and a card reader. It will be available in two color options: silver and black. Meanwhile, the Aspire Z5600 boasts a 24-inch multitouch display that outputs a 1080p picture, up to 2TB hard disk space, a TV tuner, webcam, DVD/Blu-ray writer and runs on the “latest generation of intel” components. Acer AspireRevo Just Released

Acer AspireRevo Released

Acer has recently launched the first computer based on NVIDIA’s ION platform. Dubbed as the AspireRevo, the computer adopts Intel Atom CPU N230 CPU with an entry-level NVIDIA GPU that is 10X faster than previous integrated solutions provided by Intel. Other features include up to 4GB pg DDR2–800 (dual channel), up to 250GB of storage, 4:1 Flash card reader, VGA out, HDMI, 4x USB 2.0, and eSata. Measuring 180mm x 1870mm x 30mm, the device also supports 1080p videos, output 7.1 surround sound audio and is compatible with DX 10 graphics. [Engadget]

Acer X1130 Business Projector

Acer today rolled out one of its newest business projectors, the X1130, that offers SVGA (800 x 600) resolution, 2,500:1 contrast ratio, 2,300 ANSI lumens, RGB, composite and S-video connectivity. The Acer X1130 is also a quiet projector since only 31dB noise level when operating. Its lamp also can run for up to 4,000 hours in eco mode. No word on pricing or worldwide availability so far. Acer today rolled out their latest Aspire One 751. The 11.6 inch netbook comes with a larger trackpad compared to its predecessors and competitors. The 11.6 inch display provides a resolution of 1,366 x 768. Other important features include Wi-Fi, 3G, an Intel Atom Z530 1.6GHz, a SCH USW15S Chipset, GMA500 graphics, 1GB RAM, a 160GB hard drive, a 6-cell battery, and Windows XP Pro. Acer and e-Machine Japan Release a New Atom Powered Desktop

Acer and e-Machine Japan today released the EL1600 e-Machine that boasts an Intel Atom 230 (1.6GHz) CPU with a 1GB of RAM, a 160GB of HDD, 945GC Express Chipset, DVD Super Multi, and a motherboard that allows you to add a PCI Express one free slot and Microsoft Windows XP Home. The EL1600 e-Machine is priced at 35,000 Yen for a basic configuration. Acer and e-Machine also offer a more powerful desktop with a Pentium E5200 CPU, a 2GB of RAM, a 320GB of HDD, and NVidia 7100+nForce 630i. [Akihabara]

Acer Veriton X270

Acer has confirmed the availability of its business desktop PCs ‘Veriton X270′ series in North America. The new system offers a choice of intel processors, including the Intel Core 2 Duo, an integrated NVIDIA GeForce 7100 graphics, 500GB SATA hard drive, up to 4GB of DDR2 RAM, a gigabit Ethernet port, nine USB 2.0 ports, a HDMI port and a DVD writer. It also comes with a PCI Express x16 slot, a PCI Express x1 slot and two PCI 2.3 ports in case you want to upgrade the system. Acer Predator Desktop Series Recalled

Acer Predator Desktop Series Recalled

The Consumer Product Safety Commission has decided to recall the Acer Predator ASG7200 and ASG7700 desktop computer. Around 215 of these units feature internal wiring that could get “bent or stripped”, resulting in an overheat to create what they call a “burn hazard.” So, if you are an owner of these PCs, then you should contact the nearest Acer branch to solve this problem.
