
Good news for those who are living in Japan. The Acer Aspire One D150 10.1 inch netbook has made an official debut in Japan for 50000 Yen. Momoka Eri is not just another pretty Japanese model. She actually owns a company (read: has a real life) that decorates mobile phones, PSP’s, DS’s, etc. Now why anyone would decorate their gadgets with jewels I don’t understand, but Acer is apparently showcasing Momoka’s very own Aspire One to the press. Acer has confirmed the availability of a 10.1-inch Aspire One netbook. The netbook comes with a widescreen LED backlit display (1024×600 pixels), an Intel Atom processor, up to 2GB of RAM, a 160GB hard drive, and an optional 6-cell battery for up to to 7 hours of operation on a single charge. The Windows XP-powered netbook is based on the Mobile Intel 945GSE/82801GBM chipset. Other features include a built-in webcam, 802.11b/g WiFi, Bluetooth, optional 3G or WiMAX broadband connection, and a multi-in-one media card reader. [Acer via Laptop Notebook News]

Let me introduce to a new member of the Acer Aspire desktop PC family. The Acer Aspire X1700 measures at 10.4 inch x 4 inch x 14.4 inch and is powered by an Intel dual-core E2200 2.4GHz processor, 4GB DDR2 RAM, NVIDIA GeForce 7100 graphics card, Nine USB 2.0 ports, Multi-card reader, 640GB SATA II hard drive, Dual-layer DVD writer, HDMI socket, eSATA port, and USB keyboard/mouse combo. Acer has decided to release 22-inch B223 DisplayLink USB monitor in Europe. It offers 1,680 x 1,050 resolution, a DL-160 network display chip that enables up to six of these to be connected to a single PC and a 5ms response time. You should spend your €339 (approx. $430) to bring home this LCD screen. [Electronista]

Acer wants to join the pico projector market by releasing the K10 projector that relies on a combination of Texas Instruments DLP technology and LED lamps. The Acer K10 pico projector uses a standard Acer laptop power adapter and provides 100 ANSI lumens brightness, up to 60 inch diagonal image at 2.4 meters, Native SVGA resolution, 1,000:1 contrast ratio, and vertical keystone correction. This projector also supports 4:3 and widescreen formats. The Acer K10 will be available in January 2009 for £299. [Pocket-lint]

According to rumors, Acer will release the larger 10 Inch model Acer Aspire One in February or March next year. Acer was unsatisfied with the current 8.9 inch netbooks. In addition, the company has also planned to release the large 14.1 inch LED-based Aspire One that will retail for sub-$1,200 sometime next year. Stay tuned for more updates. Acer Japan has recently launched its new desktop PC in Japan. The Aspire L3600-A10 is an Intel powered desktop with 2.2GHz Celeron 450 CPU, and a 18.5-inch 16:9 monitor with 1366 × 768 pixels resolution. Its display screen adopts Acer’s very own ACM (Adaptive Contrast Management) that allows it to produce high contrast ratio of 10,000:1. Other features include up to 2GB memory, Intel G31 Express chipset, 160GB HDD, DVD Burner, and Windows Vista Home Premium OS. Acer comes back with a couple of new LCD displays in the form of the 21.5 inch H223HQbmid and the 24 inch H243Hbmid. Both models offer 1,920 x 1,080, HDMI port, and are able to be used as full HD displays for your entertainment needs. Here is another cheap laptop from Acer that only has two USB ports. The Acer eMachines eMD620-5777 features a 14.1-inch widescreen display with AMD Athlon 1.6GHz processor, 1GB RAM, 160GB hard drive, Wi-Fi connectivity, DVD-R/RW drive and ATI Radeon X1200 graphics chipset.
