
Addonics has rolled out the world’s smallest Network Attached Storage (NAS) for the mass market called the Mini NAS. Measuring only 155mm x 95mm x 30mm, this Mini NAS is equipped with a 2.5-inch SATA drive bay that can house either a solid state drive (SSD) or hard drive (HDD), a USB port and 10/100Mbps Ethernet connection. The device also supports for SMB (Server Message Block), open source Samba, iTunes music sharing, FTP access (up to 8 simultaneous users) and a BitTorrent client. The Addonics Mini NAS sells for $69. This external drive is also capable of reading and burning CDs and DVDs, and compatible with Windows, Mac and Linux OS.
