The firm is now releasing the first notebooks that come with massive 320GB hard drives, with the Area 51 m1550 for the 15.4 inch segment and the Aurora m9700 and Area 51 m9750 for the 17 inch segment. The 17 inch laptops feature dual bays which enables you to install another 320GB hard drive, bringing the total to a huge 640GB. Pricing for the Aurora m9700 begin from $1,599 upwards.

Alienware HD Media Server Unveiled

Alienware HD Media Server is a complete home entertainment system for media geeks with some great features. It offers up to 4TB hot-swappable hard drive, Blu-ray drive, recording and playing back at 1080p via an HDMI, internal cable card (OCUR), and Dolby Digital 7.1 preamp output. Using this media server, you will be able to automate most of your home features including lighting, room music, security, and air conditioning. The PC also allows you to watch high definition movies, record TV shows, and wirelessly stream your media to other PCs, mobile devices, and media extenders throughout your home. Unfortunately, you won’t be able to purchase this mean machine any time sooner since the company has decided to sell it through their Channel program only. Alienware HD Media Server will not be available directly to consumers.

Alienware has announced the availability of Alienware Area-51 m9750 laptop. This 17-inch notebook is one of the most powerful laptops currently on the market. It is powered by Intel Core 2 Duo processor (4MB Cache, 667MHz FSB) with 945PM chipset, up to 4GB RAM, dual Nvidia GeForce Go 7950 GTX 512MB GDDR3 memory or nForce 100 in SLI, 400GB 7200 rpm hard drive, 1920 x 1200 resolution, TV Tuner, dual layer DVD burner / Blu-ray drive, wireless a/b/g/n, 7.1 digital high-definition audio with two speakers, a subwoofer, and Windows Vista operating system. The laptop retails for $2,099 with a basic configuration.

The Alienware Area-51 7500 PC With Quad Core CPU

PC manufacturer Alienware has upgraded its Area-51 7500 desktop by featuring the new Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 CPU. The PC will support Windows Vista, Low latency DDR2 RAM, nForce 6 SLI x16 Motherboard, and HDCP ready graphics. The Quad core Alienware 7500 is aimed for gamers and multimedia enthusiasts. It goes on sale in March 7th with the price tag of $2499 after conversion.
