You are probably familiar with the HP EX470 / EX475 MediaSmart Home Servers. According to reports from Amazon and PCMall, the $599 EX470 (clocking in at 500GB) and and $749 EX475 (1TB) will begin shipping on September 15th, 2007. For your info, the servers adopts 1.8GHz AMD Semprons and contain four drive bays, four USB ports and one eSATA port.

Advanced Micro Devices has rolled out AMD Athlon 64 X2 6400+ Black Edition, which is targeted towards gamers, enthusiasts and digital content creators who run multiple processor-intensive applications simultaneously. The 3.2GHz Athlon 64 X2 6400+ Black Edition features an integrated 128-bit dual-channel memory controller, DDR2 memory up to and including PC2 6400 (DDR2-800) unbuffered memory, dedicated 2MB L2 cache, and 125W TDP. The processor is currently available for $251 WOF (without a fan) for PIB (Processor in a Box).

Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) has launched new ATI FireGL workstation graphics accelerators based on the new generation ATI GPU. The ATI FireGL V8650, V8600, V7600, V5600, and V3600 graphics boards are designed for CAD, DCC and medical imaging professionals and come with 320 unified shader processors. These new boards are equipped with up to 2GB memory. The lower end V3600 ($300) comes with 256MB memory, while the mid range V5600 ($600) and V7600 ($1000) are equipped with 512MB memory. The V8600 ($1900) features 1GB memory while the top-of-the class V8650 ($2800) boosts 2GB memory. AMD’s new graphics accelerators will be available from September 2007.

AMD introduced two ATI TV Wonder USB dongles which will convert your PC or laptop into a DVR for your HD content. The TV Wonder 650 Combo PCIe provides you the ability to record your cable and local broadcasting and the ability to record QAM stations via ClearQAM. The device offers you the option of recording digital TV programming while simultaneously watching or recording analog TV channels. The TV Wonder 600 USB package works across multiple platforms via the A/V-input adapter to record video from your VCR and camcorder. They will be released in September 2007.

AMD has unveiled its new Turion 64 X2 processors, which is based on 65nm silicon-on-insulator technology. The new dual core 64-bit notebook CPUs will replace the current 90nm Turions. AMD confirms its 65nm dual core mobile CPUs are now shipping to computer manufacturers, while the notebook PCs based on the new chips will be available later this quarter in designs from leading computer manufacturers.

It’s jam packed with some cool features including AMD dual core processor, 1680×1050 resolution display screen, 4GB DDR2 memory, and 600GB HDD. This toy also equipped with ‘Scalable Link Interface’ system for enhanced graphic images and supports GPS capabilities and TV-input. Quite a powerful set of specs! However, the $7800 is the price that might be a little steep!
