Samsung Mobile Display will develop a new 7-inch AMOLED display with a higher resolution. The upcoming AMOLED display will feature a resolution of 1024×768. As a comparison, the previous AMOLED display has a resolution of 1024×600. The company has also confirmed that they will not launch any tablet with high resolution AMOLED screen this year. Samsung today introduced the AMOLED Beam (SPH-W9600) to the Korean market. As a successor to the Samsung Haptic Beam (SPH-W7900), the AMOLED Beam provides an enhanced viewing experience and richer image projection. The phone allows you to project and share multimedia entertainment, games, video and pictures captured on the 5.0-megapixel camera. Business users can use the AMOLED Beam to deliver professional presentations wherever and whenever required. Measuring 56mm x 116mm x 15.7mm, the Samsung AMOLED Beam SPH-W9600 features a 3.3-inch WVGA AMOLED touchscreen, Terrestrial DMB, Microsoft Office, DivX codec support and a 9-Lumen projector module capable of up to 50-inch images. Samsung Haptic AMOLED Mobile Phone in South Korea

Samsung has introduced a new 3G full touchscreen mobile phone in South Korea, which is dubbed as the Haptic AMOLED. The handset provides high resolution WVGA 800×480 pixel resolution on its 3.5 inch AMOLED display. The AMOLED display also has 180-degree viewing angle, and can reduce power consumption by up to 66%. The phone also supports high-quality video formats such as H.264, MPEG4, and AC-3. Other features include “One-finger Zoom” function, T-DMB, a 5MP camera, Bluetooth, and navigation support. Samsung Will Start Manufacturing AMOLED Phones

Samsung will start to produce AMOLED cell phones. AMOLED is clearer than the LCD. The company will release it for the Far East market. There are four new models are being developed initially. For your info, LG Philips LCD, Sony and Toshiba Matsushita Display Technology are also working on AMOLED phones.
