
The wait is over. Asus has finally announced the availability of Asus Eee PC 1201N laptop in the US market. It is actually the first ION-powered laptop from Asus that features a 1366 x 768 resolution LCD display with an nVidia ION graphics card, a 250GB hard drive, and an Intel Atom 330 dual core processor. The 12-inch laptop also provides three USB ports, an SDHC card slot, a VGA output, WiFi, Bluetooth, and an HDMI port. The Eee PC 1201N is scheduled to be released in mid-December 2009 for $499. Asus has introduced their latest Home Server which is targeted towards modern home and small office users. Dubbed as the TS Mini, the device is equipped with an Intel Atom N280 1.66GHz processor, up to 2GB RAM, an optional 500GB or 2TB hard drive, six USB 2.0 ports, two eSATA ports, Gigabit Ethernet and runs on Windows Home Server OS. Other advanced features include the ability to automatically back up data from up to 10 computers (daily) and stream photos, music, video and other digital content to various devices including TVs, computers, Media PCs, and gaming consoles. Good news for folks who are living in Japan because Asus has announced the availability of its Asus MS236H 23-inch LCD display in that country. The Asus MS236H (Designo MS) provides a Full HD resolution (1920×1080) with a 250 cd/m2 brightness level, a 2ms response time, and a 50000:1 active contrast ratio. This 23-inch LCD screen also supports HDMI and DVI-HDCP. Folks in Japan can purchase the Asus MS236H for 28800 Yen or around $321. [gdgt]

Garmin-Asus today annouched that the nuvifone M20 smartphone is now available with Windows Mobile 6.5. This handset will be released later this year in Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, India, Turkey Russia, Ukraine, Poland, and Czech Republic. If you have the M20 with Windows Mobile 6.1, you can upgrade your handset to Windows Mobile 6.5 on Garmin-Asus’ website for free. Asus will launch their latest Eee PC netbook that is powered by Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium edition as its operating system. Dubbed as the Asus Eee PC 1101HA-WP, the 11.6-inch netbook features an Intel Atom Z520 processor with a 2GB RAM, a 250GB hard drive, and an Intel GMA 500 graphics chipset. The netbook comes equipped with a rechargeable battery that will provide up to 8-hours of operating time. Asus has promised to launch their e-book readers for the US and European markets in March 2010. Asus has officially introduced the first product of its newly developed ‘TUF’ (The Ultimate Force) series of motherboards. Known as the Sabertooth 55i, this high-end P55-based motherboard is compatible with the latest Core i7 and Core i5 processors and features four DDR3 memory slots (maximum 16GB), five PCI Express expansion slots, two PCI slots and supports both CrossFireX as well as SLI multi-GPU technologies.
