The new A7S gamers’ laptop from Asus sports a vibrant display and special color enhancement engine. The laptop is powered by Intel Core 2 Duo processor technology, PM 965 Express chipset, and a DDR2 memory (up to 4GB). A big 17 inch (16:10) active matrix TFT gives you optimal viewing area for extreme fragging. Games graphics are enhanced thanks to the Nvidia GeForce 8400M G with 128MB video memory. Other specs include a 1.3MP camera for hi-res video conferencing, DVD combo/DVD S-multi, and hybrid TV tuner (analog as well as the newer DVB-Terrestrial). The Asus A7S laptop measures 40.5cm x 31.4cm x 3.82cm and weights 4.1 kg.

The Asus P526 Mercedes Benz quadband smartphone runs on Windows Mobile 6.0 and is powered by an OMAP 200 Mhz processor. The handset sports a 2MP shooter, 2.6 inch 65k color touchscreen, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS and memory expansion slot. No info on pricing so far. One more pic after the jump!

Asus unveiled its wooden made computer prototypes at the Computex 2007 in Taipei. There is no info on specifications as this is still a prototype, but it would be nice to see limited editions of such a notebook hit the market. Hit the jump to see more pictures.

ASUS today has introduced the Xonar D2, which is the company’s first dedicated sound card based on the newer AV200 processor. ASUS claims that its brand new PCI-based sound card is “fully aware of Dolby Digital and DTS signals for processing movie audio, and for recording includes a special application called the Portable Media Processor.” This software uses “analog loopback transformation built into the card to create near-lossless copies from most sources.” The Xonar should be available soon as an add-on for existing PCs. No word on pricing so far.

Asus AiGuru S2 is actually a successor to the AiGuru S1 VoIP Skype phone. The S2 comes equipped with the standard WiFi Skype support and the ability to pull RSS feed updates, check Outlook email, and stream your Windows Media Player/iTunes library from your computer. Pricing and availability are still in a mystery.

The ASUS P526 PDA Phone is using Windows Mobile 6 Professional and support Global Positioning System (GPS) capabilities, which is able to plot a route to direct users to the right destination. Asus will release five new notebooks including A7S, F3SV, F3SC, A8SC, and W7S. They feature the new nVidia GeForce Go 8000 series video cards and Intel’s “Santa Rosa” notebook platform. Using the new nVidia GeForce Go 8000 series video cards, these laptops should provide DirectX 10 and high-definition video capabilities for next generation PC games and multimedia. FYI, the GeForce Go 8400/8600 VGA cards can optionally use the system memory in addition to their dedicated video RAM. The revealed Asus’ “Santa Rosa” laptop models also boast wireless N (IEEE 802.11n draft) connectivity, while one of them, the Asus A7S, has HDMI (High Definition Multimedia Interface) output. In addition, the Asus A7S comes with 17-inch widescreen display, while the Asus F3SV and Asus F3SC have 15.4-inch WXGA screens. The Asus A8SC and Asus W7S are using 14.1 and 13,3-inch widescreen displays. Unfortunately, there is no word on pricing and availability for these systems.

Asustek rolled out the Asus W2Pb entertainment laptop computer series that incorporates HD DVD reader and a 17-inch WUXGA+ screen with higher 1920×1200 resolution. Other specs include HDMI output, DVB-T tuner, a TV tuner and SPDIF, and speakers system with built-in subwoofer. The laptop is also powered by an Intel Core Duo processor T7200 running at 2.0GHz, ATI Radeon X1700 graphics card with 256MB of video memory, 2GB RAM, and 160GB hard drive at 5400rpm. Weighing 7.95 lbs, the W2Pb has a pre-installed Windows Vista Home Premium Operating system. Unfortunately, there is no word on pricing or availability.
