
For the holiday season, Bang & Olufsen has updated the BeoCom 2 with seven new colour schemes including blue, black, grey, yellow white, bright red, and natural aluminum, which are perfectly suited to be wrapped and placed under the Christmas tree. Bang & Olufsen today introduced a new 55-inch model of its BeoVision 7 LCD video system that offers customers more options and enhanced picture quality. The new 55-inch BeoVision 7 uses the Bang & Olufsen BeoSystem 3 video engine, double frame rate technology at 120Hz, motion compensation and progressive scanning backlight, which produce clear and sharp picture quality even during fast-moving scenes.
The 55-inch BeoVision 7 is specially designed for floor placement. It comes with two motorized floor stand options that allow you to preset viewing positions, giving the full picture and sound experience from any position in the room. Bang & Olufsen will launch its latest addition to the BeoVision8 series of LCD TVs. This 40-inch LCD features a 100hz refresh rate, 1920×1080 resolution, 6ms response time, 3000:1 contrast ratio, 500 cd/m2 brightness and an anti-glare screen. Bang & Olufsen has introduced their A8 headphones. This wearable device is made from anodised aluminum and hard rubber giving them both flexibility and durability. The A8 also come with the specially designed leather carrying case and two meters of extension cord. It is currently available in green, orange, yellow, and white. [Bang & Olufsen]

Bang & Olufsen, the maker of very expensive gadgets, has unveiled the new BeoSound 5. It is a control interface for your home media system, which is designed for ease of use without much of complexity. There is no further info about this gadget. We will keep you posted. [Engadget]

If you’re rich, so you can buy this new 24ct gold cordless phone. Bang & Olufsen and the Goldstriker International have joined to release the 24ct gold edition of the Beocom 4 cordless telephone. The handset will be available in January 2008 for approximately $1439.

The BeoSound 6 from Bang & Olufsen features a stainless steel frame, a black soft-touch lacquered surface and a 128 x 160 pixel scratch-resistant glass display. the Beosound 6 does not use SD cards but relies on an internal memory of 4Gb. The company claims that the BeoSound 6 provides a “very clear and pure CD sound quality, due to its high performance on signal to noise playback”.
