Barco has announced the commercial release of their new digital cinema projector, the DP2K-P. Designed to meet the needs of the post-production market, this 4K ready cinema projector is able to provide a 2K HD (2048 x 1080) resolution or up to a 4K HD (4096 x 2160) resolution, 5400 ANSI lumens brightness, 2500:1 contrast ratio and 16:9 aspect ratio. Barco hits back by bringing you their newest DLP projector called the RLM-W8. This high performance projector delivers 1920 x 1200 native resolution, 2000:1 contrast ratio, 8000 ANSI lumens brightness and consumes 33% less energy than competing products. Not to mention, it also comes with a number of connectivity ports including two HDMI, Composite, Component, S-Video as well as D-Sub. Unfortunately, there’s no word on pricing and release date yet. Here is a new 20 inch monitor from Barco, that has the ability to render four times more shades of colors than most monitors (1024 levels). This monitor is specially designed for medical applications. The Barco MDRC-2120 boasts a 1600×1200 resolution. [Ubergizmo]
