
The BenQ DC C1060 compact camera has been unveiled. The digital camera boasts a 10MP sensor with a 3x optical zoom, and a 2.7-inch LCD screen. The DC C1060 also offers a “Super Shake Free” system and Smile Catch. The compact camera is able to record video at 720 x 400 or 640 x 480 resolution. The cool factor for this camera is that it comes with a stylish leather texture grip. No word on pricing or release date yet but, I am sure the BenQ DC C1060 will be released very soon. BenQ has added a couple of new models to its DLP projectors range. The MP623 and the MP624 offers HDMI 1.3 connectivity and a BrilliantColor system that adapts to environment. Both deliver a XGA resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels, a contrast ratio of 2500:1. MP623 delivers maximum brightness of 2,500 and MP624, 3,000 ANSI lumens. It takes space as much as 23.88cm x 10.67cm x 25.4cm weighing only 2.5kg, which makes it very light and portable. Included with the projector hardware is a protective carry case, remote control, CD manual, and cables for mains & VGA. The warranty period comprises 36 months including a substitute device during the first 12 months. The MP623 and the MP624 retails at £599 and £699, respectively. [Bit-Tech]

BenQ comes back with two new LCD monitors, the E900HD and G900HD. Both LCD screens offers 16:9 widescreen format display, a brightness level of 300 nits, and 10,000:1 DCR (dynamic contrast ratio). BenQ Korea is ready to launch three new 22-inch HD LCD monitors in the Korean market next month. Known as the E2200HD, M2200HD and M2400HD, these 16:9 full HD monitors offers a 10,000:1 contrast ratio, a quick 2ms response time, and BenQ’s proprietary Senseye and AMA(Advanced Motion Accelerator technologies. BenQ will release their new 3G handset in the Taiwanese market later this month. Known as the BenQ E55, the phone offers 3G data connection and comes jam packed with a 2MP camera, the secondary video call camera at the middle of the clamshell hinge, a 1-inch 64k colors CSTN external screen with 96 x 64 resolution, and the internal 2-inch TFT screen that supports 262k colors. This clamshell phone is actually the successor of the previous BenQ E53 phone. Its media player sports AAC, MP3, 3GP and MP4 file formats. The BenQ E55 3G phone is priced at around $230. BenQ has rolled out the E2200HDA LCD monitor. This desktop LCD monitor boasts 16:9 aspect ratio that is perfect for widescreen High Definition content. The screen also offers 10,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, automatic color adjustment, integrated stereo speakers, and an average response time of 5ms. The new BenQ E2200HDA will be released this summer to Asia Pacific, China, Europe, and Latin America. No info on pricing so far. [Electronista]

BenQ comes back with its brand new thin digicam. The BenQ T850 is a 8MP digital camera that measures only 15mm in thickness. The camera also features 3x optical zoom lens, ISO 1600, stainless steel body, 3 inch touch screen LCD display, face recognition technology, anti-shake mechanism and SDHC memory card slot. BenQ has announced 3 new compact models of cameras starting with the E800 which is an 8-megapixel shooter featuring a 3x optical zoom, a 2.7-inch LCD, ISO settings up to 1600, and face-tracking and smile-catching features. The C850 and C750 both feature leather-wrapped handles with all the same specs with the C750 having only 7-megapixels. No word on prices.
