
BenQ will release their new 3G handset in the Taiwanese market later this month. Known as the BenQ E55, the phone offers 3G data connection and comes jam packed with a 2MP camera, the secondary video call camera at the middle of the clamshell hinge, a 1-inch 64k colors CSTN external screen with 96 x 64 resolution, and the internal 2-inch TFT screen that supports 262k colors. This clamshell phone is actually the successor of the previous BenQ E53 phone. Its media player sports AAC, MP3, 3GP and MP4 file formats. The BenQ E55 3G phone is priced at around $230. BenQ has rolled out the E2200HDA LCD monitor. This desktop LCD monitor boasts 16:9 aspect ratio that is perfect for widescreen High Definition content. The screen also offers 10,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, automatic color adjustment, integrated stereo speakers, and an average response time of 5ms. The new BenQ E2200HDA will be released this summer to Asia Pacific, China, Europe, and Latin America. No info on pricing so far. [Electronista]

BenQ comes back with its brand new thin digicam. The BenQ T850 is a 8MP digital camera that measures only 15mm in thickness. The camera also features 3x optical zoom lens, ISO 1600, stainless steel body, 3 inch touch screen LCD display, face recognition technology, anti-shake mechanism and SDHC memory card slot. BenQ has dropped a new phone called the C36. It comes with a built in FM radio, a 2’’ LCD screen with a resolution of 176×220, 1.3 Mega-pixel camera, and MicroSD. No word on a price or availability yet. [Akihabara via Upcoming Cell Phones]

BenQ has announced 3 new compact models of cameras starting with the E800 which is an 8-megapixel shooter featuring a 3x optical zoom, a 2.7-inch LCD, ISO settings up to 1600, and face-tracking and smile-catching features. The C850 and C750 both feature leather-wrapped handles with all the same specs with the C750 having only 7-megapixels. No word on prices. BenQ in Korea is launching a new LCD monitor called the V2400W. It comes with a touchpad OSD with LED backlit, support for 1,920 x 1,200 WUXGA resolution, 4,000:1 contrast ratio, 250 cd/㎡ brightness and 5ms response speed. BenQ will be releasing a new UMPC called the mid. The mid features an Intel Atom processor (the base 800MHz model), 512MB of RAM, a 4GB SSD hard drive, HSPDA support along with wifi and bluetooth. The UMPC will also feature a “G-Senser” for “direct touch and free movement to surf on internet,” voice activation, and optional GPS. The BenQ Joybook R45 has dropped in stores. It features an Intel Core 2 Duo T8100 2.1GHz processor, NVIDIA GeForce 8400M G graphics card, 4GB DDR2 RAM, 250GB 5400RPM Hard Drive, a Dual Layer DVD Super-Multi Drive, a 14.1″ WXGA (1280×800) Widescreen, 2.0-Megapixel Webcam, Wireless LAN, bluetooth, 4-in-1 card reader, and Windows Vista. The BenQ V2400W is claimed as the thinnest 24 inch widescreen LCD monitor in the world. Measuring at only 2.44inch thick, the screen is 21% thinner than its competitor. BenQ has some new DLP Projectors set to drop soon : the SP870 and SP831. The BenQ SP870 (5000 ANSI lumen) and SP831 (4000 ANSI lumen) will come with a couple features that will enhance lamp output for better color, clarity and brilliance. Both will be more of a professional type projector and are better used at lecture halls, auditoriums, board rooms, etc. They both have a contrast ratio of 2,000:1.
