Hyoutan Speaker For iPod

The Hyoutan is actually a kind of cucumber that many countries used for many usage: It can be eaten, as a sponge, but also as a gourd, guitar etc. Bird Electron today introduced its brand new Hyoukan Speaker double cone. The speaker comes with a mini adapter that allows you to connect it to your iPod, or other Digital Audio Player. The Hyoutan Speaker for iPod is priced at 18,500 Yen. Japanese Takotsubo 'Octopus Trap' Speakers

Bird Electron releases a new set of speaker, which is build around Japanese Takotsubo, or “Octopus Trap”. It is used by fishermen in order to catch Octopus. The Takotsubo has a 50mm diameter speaker. No info on pricing or availability so far. [Akihabara]
