This May you’ll be craving blackberries with the Blackberry 8XXX, that contains specs that are nothing but juicy! The Blackberry 8XXX comes with a a 624Mz processor, a Tavor chipset, full HSDPA with tri-band UMTS (850/1900/2100) connectivity, a “half VGA” display (480 x 320), a 1500mAh battery, GPS navigation function, WiFi support and a 2 megapixel camera. Price is still unknown.
Good news for BlackBerry Pearl users. The handset has now received a color refresh. Available in blue, red, and gold, these new handsets have already appeared on T-Mobile’s site. Other than the color change, everything else inside remains the same.
Research In Motion has unveiled its first dual-mode BlackBerry 8820 smartphone that comes with a full-fledged QWERTY keyboard, a 320×240 display, EDGE/GPRS/GSM, Wi-Fi, and trackball navigation system. It also offers an integrated GPS, the latest media player enhancements, and support for microSD/microSDHC (high capacity) memory cards up to 32GB, The smartphone supports 802.11 a/b/g standards allowing you to access the internet over public hotspots. Pricing info is still unknown.
Fastlink and Research In Motion have launched the BlackBerry Pearl smartphone in Jordan. Pearl provides the well-known access to BlackBerry wireless services including email, text messaging and corporate data applications. The mobile provider Fastlink will also be providing BlackBerry Internet Service for its customers. Users can enjoy a digital camera and media player onboard the new BlackBerry. For additional storage, the device also offers expandable memory. In the Middle East, the BlackBerry service is currently available in Jordan, Egypt, the UAE and Bahrain.
It seems that the RIM BlackBerry Curve will be available via AT&T in the US. As a reminder, the gadget boasts a 2MP shooter with 5x digital zoom, support for A2DP Bluetooth audio profile, a revamped media player, a redesigned desktop media manager, and the ability to upload freshly snapped photos to your Flickr account among others. Unfortunately, pricing info is still unknown.
Here is the leaked high resolution photo of Blackberry 8830. In case you didn’t know, the gadget sports both CDMA and GSM network, letting you roam in most of the area in the world. The device will comes in QVGA screen, microSD card slot and exclude the camera module.
People and companies are getting behind the BlackBerry Pearl, so much that it’s been released in Black, White and now Red. Cingular is going to be carrying the BlackBerry Pearl 8100 in Red, so keep an eye out.
