Sony today released a new portable Blu-ray/DVD player namely the BDP-SX1. The gadget features a 10.1-inch LED backlight display with up to 1,024×600 pixels resolution. The Sony BDP-SX1 is compatible with MPEG-1/2/4, MPEG-4 AVC/H.264, WMV, AVCHD. MP3/WMA/AAC/Linear PCM, and JPEG file formats. Additional features include a USB 2.0 port, a memory card slot, stereo speakers and an HDMI-output. Its battery offers up to 5-hour of video playback. Pioneer will launch the Pioneer BDP-140 in the Japanese market. This affordable 3D Blu-ray player supports DLNA 1.5, SACD, and both Blu-Ray and 3D Blu-Ray discs. The Pioneer BDP-140 can also read MP3, WMA, WMV, MKV and DivX Plus HD files, which are stored on your USB flash drive. The Panasonic DMP-B200 portable Blu-ray player will be released in the Japanese market next month. This portable Blu-ray player comes jam packed with an 8.9-inch ?-Si TFT panel with a 1024×600 resolution, an HDMI out and a pair of 500mW speakers. Its battery provides enough juice for up to 4-hour of operation time. The DMP-B200 also supports BD-R and BD-RE drive (single or dual layer) as well as video (MPEG-2, AVCHD, ISDB-T Mobile Video and H.264 Mobile Video) stored on an SDXC cards.
