Dubbed as the BDX-S600U, this slim drive is equipped with two built-in USB 2.0 cables, a 5.8MB of buffer memory and capable of providing write speeds of up to 6x for BD-R (SL/DL), 4x for BD-R XL, 2x for BD-RE, 8x for DVD-R/+R and DVD+RW, 6x for DVD-R/+R DL and DVD-RW, 5x for DVD-RAM, 24x for CD-R and 16x for CD-RW. A new 6x external Blu-ray writer ‘BRP-U6′ from I-O Data is about to be launched in Japan. Measuring only 137mm x 154mm x 20mm and weighing just 330 grams, this slim drive comes with a USB 2.0 connection interface and is able to provide write speeds of 6x for BD-R, 6x for BD-R LTH, 4x for BD-R DL, 2x for BD-RE and 2x for BD-RE DL.
