LG adds a new phone to their Chocolate line labeled the Chocolate Platinum. LG’s latest cell phone features a a TFT-LCD display, 256MB of internal memory, 2.0-megapixel camera, an FM tuner, MicroSD card slot, Bluetooth w/A2DP, and a music player. Check out the video after the jump.
We love the LG Chocolate. It’s slick, unbelievably stylish and packs in a decent MP3 player too. It is, however, starting to show its age. That’s why LG’s about to launch this, it’s successor. As before, it’ll play MP3s, MPEG-4, AAC and video, and packs in stereo A2DP Bluetooth as well as that trademark red touchpad

Samsung Electronics shows off its new YP-T9 and YP-K5 MP3 players in CES 2007. Available in jet black and deep purple, the YP-T9 MP3 players provides 2GB and 4GB of storage capacity, Bluetooth support, and uses Samsung’s high-quality NAND flash memory. The player is now on sale for $129.99 (2GB), and $179.99 (4GB).
“Realdragon” at YouTube gives us an in-depth video preview of the Sony Ericsson W850i. The phone has a 2.0-inch QVGA display, 2.0MP digicam, 1GB of MS Pro Duo memory, USB 2.0 connectivity, and Bluetooth 2.0 connectivity. Its price tag is around $350. Click the play button to start the video.
The fold-out keyboard really makes the Seamless WiFiS-XGen UMPC something special. The S-XGen features a 520MHz Intel Xscale processor, 4-inch screen, 128MB SDRAM, 20GB HDD, 802.11b Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and Ethernet. At $1400, the S-XGen runs on Windows CE 5.0 and comes equipped with Microsoft Office Mobile Suite, so it might not have the same operating system as competing UMPC’s (Windows XP Tablet PC Edition) but the fold-out keyboard and its connectivity options gives it an edge.
Kohjisha’s SA1F00 UMPC provides a 500MHz AMD Geode LX800 processor, 1GB of memory, 80GB HDD, a 3-in-1 memory card reader, 802.11b/g Wi-Fi Bluetooth 2.0+EDR, and a 5-hour battery life. Video after the jump!
And get this, it all starts at a mere Â¥89,000 (about $754) with a 40GB disk on up to Â¥109,800 (about $930) for 80GB of disk and MS Office pre-installed. Compare that to the $1,178 Raon Vega, $2,000 Vaio UX290P, or $800 ASUS R2H and you’ll understand the fuss.

iLuv just released two hot looking stereo alarm clocks that feature bluetooth. The iLuv i277BLK features an LCD display, wireless remote, AM/FM tuner, etc for $149. The iLuv i199BLK features a CD player, USB, ID3 support, etc for $229. Both will be available in March.
BenQ-Siemens will launch the new EF61 cell phone in Taiwan soon. The phone is a beautifully designed clamshell with 1.8-inch TFT LCD color screen capable of displaying 260k colors at 128 x 160 pixel resolution. It also has a MP3 player with 1.3MP CMOS camera which gives 4x digital zoom. This handset also has Bluetooth connectivity and microSD card slot for additional storage. The BenQ-Siemens EF61 weighs just 99grams with the dimensions of 88mm x 46mm x 23mm.
Still remember the super sexy LG Shine phone? LG Electronics plans to release the phone to consumers in Europe and the United States at the world’s largest International Consumer Electronics Show to be held in Las Vegas on January 8, 2007. Just a recap, the handset features a 2MP camera, Bluetooth connectivity, an MP3 player, and a scroll wheel on the front. The GSM version will be released in Europe in the first quarter of 2007 and soon thereafter in the rest of Asia and the United States. No pricing information has been announced yet.
