
Toshiba has announced the availability of a couple new Blu-ray players in the UK. The Toshiba BDX3100KB is the company’s first ever Blu-ray player to support Blu-ray 3D movie playback. This player provides Full HD 1920x1080p 3D output, creating an outstanding next generation home cinema experience. Blu-ray movies are played back at 24 frames per second, preserving their original atmosphere and quality to provide smooth, cinematic playback exactly how the movie director intended. Additional features include a 3D-capable HDMI port, REGZA-LINK (HDMI-CEC) technology via HDMI, Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio Essential.
What’s more, Toshiba UK has also introduced the new BDX1100KB Blu-ray player, which supports full 1920x1080p HD output and upscaling technology for old DVDs. The Toshiba BDX3100KB 3D Blu-ray and BDX1100KB will be available in the UK from October 2010. [TFTS]

Sharp will release a feature-rich 3D Blu-ray player in November this year. Dubbed as the Sharp BD-HP90S, the slim Blu-ray player is able to play 2D or 3D Blu-ray discs and connects to a Wi-Fi network for accessing BD-Live contents from the web wirelessly. There is also a USB port that allows media playback from external drives. The Sharp BD-HP90S 3D Blu-ray player is priced at £379.99 or around $584. [ElectricPig]

Blockbuster Inc. today announced that the new Onkyo BD-SP808 Blu-ray player supports BLOCKBUSTER On Demand service, allowing users to browse and select certain movies as soon as the titles are available on DVD and Blu-ray without having to pay a monthly subscription fee. Using the system’s search tool, users can also view ratings, trailers and other information about each movie for a more personalized and simplified viewing experience. Samsung has introduced several new products at IFA 2010 including the 65-inch 8000 series Full HD 3D LED TV, the SP-A8000 3D-capable video projector, the HT-C9950W stainless steel 3D 7.1-channel home theater system, and the BD-C8900 3D BD player/recorder. The Samsung 8000 series features the company latest wave of widgets, DLNA support and Samsung AllShare, while the Samsung BD-C8900 3D BD player/recorder comes with a 500GB of internal hard disk drive. Inkel today introduced their latest BD player, the VR-654BD, which supports both DVD video and Blu-ray video. What makes this Blu-ray player interesting is that it is able to play DivX, XviD, JPEG, WMA and MP3 files directly from a USB thumb drive. Additional features include the DB Live 2.0 support, an FM tuner, a USB 2.0 port and an integrated 7.1Ch AV receiver. The new Sylvania Blu-ray disc player is now available at Amazon. Priced at just $59.99, the player is compatible with Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby Digital Lossless, Dolby TrueHD, DTS, DTS HD, and Linear PCM audio formats. The Sylvania Blu-ray disc player also supports full 1080p HD playback, and the Deep Color processing. It measures 12-inch x 17.2-inch x 2.4-inch and weights 6.7 pounds. [Amazon]

The Denon S-5BD is an audiophile grade 5.1 channel surround sound receiver with advanced Profile 2.0 Blu-ray player. Dubbed as “the Cara”, this BD player comes complete with 1080p/24p video output, DVD video scaling up to 1080p, and BD-Live support. Additionally, there are two dedicated outputs for surround back speakers that would require amplification, which means the S-5BD can be expanded to 7.1 channel surround sound setup. On the front, aside from the HDMI input, there is a USB port, an SD reader, and two 3.5mm ports for mic and headphones. This 3D-capable Blu-ray player features Viera Cast offering you the capability to enjoy Amazon VOD, YouTube, Picassa, Netflix and so on. The player also supports DviX, MP3 and JPEG files. The LG BD590 is not your ordinary Blu-ray player. This BD player supports WiFi, BD Live, VUDU, DLNA, and a 250GB hard drive allowing you to store your downloaded contents.
