Buffalo has unveiled its latest external Blu-ray writer ‘BR-PX68U2-BK’ for the Japanese market. Measuring only 137mm x 142mm x 20mm and weighing just 340 grams, the drive offers a USB 2.0 connection interface and provides write speeds of up to 6x for BD-R, 4x for BD-R DL, 2x for BD-RE SL/DL, 8x for DVD-R/+R/+RW, 6x for DVD-RW, 5x for DVD-RAM, 4x for DVD-RW/+RW DL, 24x for CD-R and 10x for CD-RW. Buffalo will launch the world’s first USB 3.0 external hard drive later this month. The Buffalo HD-HU3 USB 3.0 hard drive is currently available in 1TB, 1.5 TB and 2TB storage capacities. If your computer doesn’t support USB 3.0 port, then you can use the NEC IFC-PCIE2U3 2-port PCI Expressx1 host controller that is included in the package. After releasing the DriveStation HD-HXU3 USB 3.0 external HDD, Buffalo also announced a new line-up of Class10 SDHC cards that will be released in October 2009. Available in up to 32GB capacity, the Buffalo RSDC-C10 series Class 10 SDHC memory card boasts up to 10MB/s transfer rate, which is ideal of use with HD camcorders or Full Frame DSLR cameras. Buffalo has just announced its new SuperSpeed USB 3.0 external HDD, the DriveStation HD-HXU3. Coming in a slick, black glossy design, the drive is available in either 1.0TB, 1.5TB or 2.0TB capacity and provides transfer speeds of up to 125MB/s. The drive is also backwards-compatible and will work seamlessly with USB 2.0-enabled computers, notebooks and netbooks. Weighing just 1.3kg, the drive offers a USB 2.0 interface, a 4MB cache memory and has the ability to write BD-R/-R DL at 8x, BD-RE/-RE DL at 2x, DVD-R/+R at 16x, DVD+RW at 8x, DVD-RW at 6x, DVD-RAM at 5x, DVD-R/+R DL at 4x, CD-R at 32x and CD-RW at 24x. Buffalo has released a new 500GB ultra-thin portable hard drive namely the Buffalo HD-PVU2. Measuring 81mm x 16mm x 130 mm, it comes with USB 2.0 connectivity and the eco-Manager software that will automatically power down the hard drive when idling to save power. Buffalo Japan is set to release two new optical drives for the Japanese market in the form of the BR-H1016SU2 (external) and BR-H1016FBS-BK (internal) Blu-ray writers. Both drives feature a 4MB of buffer memory and provide write speeds of up to 10x for BD-R SL, 8x for BD-R DL, 2x for BD-RE SL/DL, 16 x for DVD-R/+R, 12x for DVD-RAM, 8x for DVD-R/+R DL and DVD+RW, 6x for DVD-RW, 48x for CD-R and 24x for CD-RW. They also come with several connectivity ports including SATA and USB 2.0 for BR-H1016FBS-BK, and eSATA for BR-H1016SU2. The BSSP07 from Buffalo is a new series of stereo speakers that can be used with MP3 players, mobile phones, or iPods. Available in four different colors, the speaker provides up to 800mWatt x 2ch, which is enough for use in a small room. The Buffalo BSSP07 requires four AA batteries or a USB port to operate.
