Buffalo today unveiled the DVSM-U24U2 external DVD writer which is capable of burning speeds of up to 24x. Measuring 164mm x 50mm x 266mm and weighing 1.7kg, the burner provides write speeds of 24x for DVD+R/-R, 16x for DVD-RAM, 6x for DVD-R/+R DL and DVD+RW, 6x for DVD-RW, 48x for CD-R and 32x for CD-RW. The Buffalo DVSM-U24FBS DVD SuperMulti is able to record up to 24x DVD±Rs and provides basic up-scaling of any DVDs in 1080/60p.
