The new Buffalo DriveStation will soon be available in Japan in 2, 3 and 4TB models. It has a very nicely designed enclosure that offers both eSATA & USB 2.0 and comes with 2 HDD in RAID 0. Buffalo Outs 256GB SHD-NHPU2 SSD

Buffalo has just added a new storage capacity ’256GB’ to its IDE-based SHD-NHPU2 SSD line-up. Just like the 32GB, 64GB and 128GB models, the 256GB model also comes with MLC NAND Flash memory chips, a USB 2.0 interface, an IDE interface, a 64MB of cache and is able to deliver transfer speeds of up to 101MB/s. The 256GB SHD-NHPU2 SSD will go on sale later this month for a retail price of $1,220. [Tom's Hardware]

Buffalo’s Newest Wireless Mouse

Buffalo is preparing to unleash their newest wireless mouse ‘BSMOW07′ for the Japanese market. Powered by two AAA batteries, this little mouse comes in a 5-button design and features a 2.4GHz radio frequency (works up to 10 meters), a 1600dpi resolution and a tiny USB receiver. Not to mention, the mouse is also compatible with Windows 7, Vista, XP as well as 2000. Available in black, silver, brown, blue, pink and white color options, the BSMOW07 will go on sale in late July for 3,465 Yen (about $39). [PC Watch]

Buffalo today introduced the Buffalo RUF2-JVS USB flash drive that comes pre-loaded with Trend Micro’s USB Security. This software is made to prevent malicious software from being transferred onto the drive and ensure that your valuable data will be safe. Available in red, white or black, the Buffalo RUF2-JVS boasts a capless design with retractable USB connectors. The gadget provides 4, 8 and 16GB of storage capacities. You are lucky if you are living in Japan, because Buffalo has recently rolled out the Buffalo RUF2-DJ series of USB flash drives in that country. Available in black, white, and red, this fancy Flash disk provides a 4GB and 8GB of storage capacities. There is no word on pricing so far, so stay tuned. Read more

Buffalo has introduced its newest 12x external USB 3.0 Blu-ray in the US, which is claimed as the fastest external writer on the market today. Called the MediaStation (codenamed BR3D-12U3), the drive is equipped with a USB 3.0/2.0 connection interface and supports the following media formats: BD-R SL 8x read / 12x write, DVD R SL 16x read / 16x write and CD-R 40x read / 40x write. In addition, it also comes bundled with the CyberLink Blu-ray 3D Ready Media Suite. The MediaStation will become available later this month for $349.99. [Buffalo]

Buffalo Wireless TV Unit and Wireless Router Combo

Buffalo has just unveiled two new pieces of wireless equipment today that is definitely going to get consumers buzzing. The first one is a Wireless Unit, which was created on the premise that 90% of TV’s have a LAN port but only 10% actually use them due to the hassle of using a cable. They have also announced their new Nfiniti High Power Wireless Router will come in three different versions with the main highlight of all three being the ability to manage dual wireless connections. Buffalo Japan has unveiled two new 12x Blu-ray writers for the mass market in the form of the internal BR3D-12FBS-BK and external, USB 3.0-equipped BR3D-12U3. Both of these drives provides write speeds of 12x for BD-R SL/DL, 2x for BD-RE SL/DL, 16x for DVD-R/+R, 8x for DVD-R/+R DL & DVD+RW, 6x for DVD-RW, 5x for DVD-RAM, 40x for CD-R and 24x for CD-RW. In addition, they also come bundled with CyberLink’s Blu-ray Disc Suite. The Buffalo BR3D-12FBS-BK and BR3D-12U3 will become available in mid-June for about $316 and $433, respectively. [CDRLabs]

Here’s the latest 4-port USB hub from Buffalo-Kokuyo, the BSH4U08. Measuring 26mm x 11mm x 90mm and weighing 32g, the hub comes with 4 USB 2.0 ports, three power switches and supports Windows 7, Vista, XP as well as Mac OS X 10.2 or later. Buffalo is about to add a new storage capacity ’1TB’ to its MiniStation HD-PXT series of portable hard drives. Coming in piano-black finish, this 2.5-inch drive features a shock-resistant shell, a wrap-around USB 2.0 cable, a built-in 256-bit AES hardware encryption and comes bundled with TurboPC/TurboCopy for improved transfer speeds and backup software. The 1TB MiniStation HD-PXT will begin shipping in Europe at the end of this month for 135 Euro (about $169). [Softpedia]
