
C-motech has showcased their latest Mobile Internet Device (MID) at CTIA Wireless 2010. Dubbed as the Mangrove7, the device boasts a 7-inch touchscreen display, a Qualcomm’s Snapdragon processor, a web browser, GPS, Bluetooth, WiFi, 3G and runs on Windows Mobile 6.5 OS. C-motech has announced their latest dual-mode USB modem for the Korean market that supports both 3G technology HSUPA and 4G technology WiBro. Dubbed as the CBU-450D, this lightweight modem is able to provide maximum download/upload speeds of up to 7.2/5.76 MB/s from HSUPA or 33/5.2 MB/s from WiBro. The U-301 is the latest dual-mode USB modem from C-motech that supports both 3G technology CDMA and 4G technology WiMax 2.0. This lightweight modem uses a 65nm Qualcomm QSC6085 chipset for CDMA and a 65nm Beceem BCSM250 chipset for WiMax. The U-301 provides maximum download/upload speeds of up to 10/4 MB/s from WiMax or 3.1/1.8 MB/s from CDMA. The device also supports Windows 7, Vista and XP operating systems. Korea-based C-motech has shown off a new Mobile Internet Device (MID) namely the Mangrove. Unlike conventional MIDs, the gadget is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and Windows Mobile 6.5 OS. For your info, the Qualcomm Snapdragon CPU is usually used in smartphones including the Toshiba TG01 or Acer’s Android-based A1. The Mangrove MID also features a bunch of goodies that include a 7-inch touchscreen display, two USB 2.0 ports, a Micro SD card slot, Wi-Fi connectivity, and even WiMAX.
