World's Smallest 1080i Camcorder (Sony HDR-TG1)

Sony has unveiled the world’s smallest 1080i camcorder, the HDR-TG1. At just 1.3- x 4.7- x 2.5-inches and 10-ounces, the device features a 4.0-megapixel CMOS sensor, 10x Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar optical zoom lens, 2.7-inch touchscreen, and a BIONZ processing engine. [Akihabara]

Vivitar DVR565HD Camcorder

Vivitar has announced that they will be dropping another camcorder called the DVR565HD that supposedly captures film in HD. It can capture H.264 / MPEG-4 at 30fps, has a video back out in 1080i via the HDMI output and will be available in black and silver, has a 3-inch flip-out LCD monitor as well as a 4GB SD card. Samsung DVD Flash Hybrid Camcorder

Samsung has announced that they will be releasing a new DVD-Flash Hybrid camcorder called the VM-DX10. It features a 4GB built-in memory and 2.7-inch touch panel LCD screen and supports 3D Noise Reduction Filter technology, along with a Hyper Image Stabilizer and quick start function. Sanyo has just announced the arrival of the new VPC-HD700 camcorder which is very mobile and is easy to take anywhere. It comes with a 1280 by 720 resolution, MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 format support, 7.1 megapixels, 5X optical zoom, 12X digital zoom, and a face chaser. Price and availability is unknown as of right now.

The SC-HMX20C features: 8GB of internal flash memory; SDHC / MMC+ expansion slot1, 1/8-inch 6.4-megapixel CMOS sensor, 10x optical zoom, 300fps slow-motion recording mode for up to 10 seconds, 4-megapixel still image capture, 2.7-inch wide LCD touchscreen display, iCheck button for easy access to memory / battery levels, USB 2.0 and PictBridge connections, and Component, S-Video and composite outputs. All this costs about $300, so you’ll have plenty of time to save up.

JVC GD-D850 Baby Movie Camcorder

Here is a new camcorder by JVC called the GD-D850 baby movie camcorder. You could say that it’s ideal for recording precious moments like those but it can also be used for zooming into objects. It comes with 16:9 or 4:3 NTSC recordings, 3X optical zoom, 2.7-inch LCD with auto-adjusting brightness. Japan is the first lucky country to get their hands on one of these sometime in January for $397 and the US second.

Exemode HD Camera Recorder

Exemode’s HD Camera Recorder

To make up for there poor quality in products, Exemode has come out with their new HD camcorder called the DV580HD, which features a 32MB built-in memory and compatible with SD and SDHC cards. Exemode wants $222 for this camcorder.
