Sony’s new video camera model SR42E delivers detailed and natural images even in low light situations. The camcorder has a 2.5inch LCD touch screen, a “3G sensor” and the hard disk shock absorber. Measuring only 73mm x 71mm x 115mm and weighing at 340grams (including battery), it also features Vario-Tessar lens to enhanced picture quality. There is no word yet on the pricing or availability of this lightweight camcorder.

Samsung has showed off its newest camcorder at KES 2007. The VM-DX10 allows users to store footage on a three-inch DVD or on the built-in 4GB of flash memory. The camcorder also boasts a 2.7-inch touch panel, 3D Noise Reduction Filter, 26x zoom, and Hyper Image Stabilizer. Available in black or white, it will be released in the Korean market next month for $763.

Sanyo Korea has released Xacti VPC-HD1000 camcorder in the Korean market. It is an ultra slim full HD digital camcorder that supports 43 minutes of full HD (1920 x 1080) video recording on a 4GB SDHC memory card with MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 codec. No word yet on pricing or availability.

Canon’s new Digital Camcorder DC230 features 1/6-inch CCD image sensor with 1.07 effective Mega-pixels. This video camera stores recorded files in miniSD card with superior 35x optical zoom through its advanced lens of f = 2.6 – 91 mm, f/2.0 – 5.0 focal length. The gadget has a 2.7 inch wide angle LCD screen and adopts Canon’s DIGIC DV II processing technology and enhanced USB 2.0 support. No word on pricing so far.

Here is JVC’s latest camcorder, the GZ-MG77AC, which comes equipped with a 30GB hard disk drive. It is expected to hit stores at $660 (after conversion). This camcorder features 2.18 million picture elements CCD picture photo sensitivity component, and sports 10 time of optics focal variations, 300 time of digital focal variations, 2.7 inches LCD display monitor (1632 x 1224pixel) and SD card support.
