Samsung SCX-300L: Makes You A Headcase

by Nicole on August 15, 2007 · 1 comment

Samsung SCX-300L Wearable Camcorder

This is Samsung’s first camcorder you can mount to your head. The SC-X300L has an attachable velcro headstrap which consequently makes you a dork. It is a little difficult to strap this on at just the right angle. The end of the review predicted that the camcorder had too many buttons. It is also kinda hard to deal with the fact that the video format makes filing a big hassle. The 720X480 resolution isn’t all that great and the lack of still shots makes it worse. The asking price is $450, so that’s another minus. All in all, this camcorder is just average or below. You may as well just settle for an ordinary camcorder.

What makes girls in bikinis jump up and down? A $150 camcorder, that’s what. The DXG-572V can do so much… for half the price of other camcorders! Looking very similar in quality to any other camcorder out there, it records 640×680 video at 30 frames per second on an SD or MMC memory card. It records MPEG-4 clips almost at “DVD Quality” for only $150! The DXG-572V also takes 5.13MP still shots and comes with a voice recorder.

The Canon HG10 High Definition Camcorder is the first Canon [tag]camcorder[/tag] to record on a hard disk drive. The Camcorder Info people reviewed all the features starting with the glass lens with the 10x optical zoom. Next, the grip is comfortable when you actually hold it in your hands, and it features zoom control which is “pro grade”. They don’t think much of the AVCHD code because it gives off a noticeable blur when in motion. Even though a lot of the features have some flaws to correct, they still call it the best HDD camcorder available.
