Panasonic HDC-SD7 - The World

The new Panasonic HDC-SD7 is said to be the “world’s smallest and lightest” camcorder which can record video at 1,920 x 1,080 to SDHC cards. The camcorder offers a 10x optical zoom and the same spec as the Panasonic HDC-SD5 3CCD Full HD camcorder. Sadly, the HDC-SD7 looks to be Japan-only for now with a September 8th launch for around $1,188 with tax.

Panasonic HDC-SX5 Camcorder

The new Panasonic HDC-SX5 camcorder is bigger than the tiny HDC-SD5, but it has the same optical image stabilizer, Leica Dicomar lenses and 30 fps Full HD 1,920 x 1,080 in SD and SDHC cards recording. In addition, the camcorder can capture to double-layer DVD-R discs. The Panasonic HDC-SX5 comes out this September for $899.95.

Panasonic HDC-SD5 3CCD Full HD Camcorder

Panasonic claims its new HDC-SD5 camcorder as the world’s smallest 3CCD Full HD camcorder. It offers 1,920 x 1,080 30fps recording on SD or SDHC cards, revamped image stabilization system and Leica Dicomar lenses. The HDC-SD5 camcorder will be released this September for $999.95.

Samsung has recently unveiled the SC-MHX10 HD flash-based camcorder that retails for $799 and offers 8GB of integrated flash memory, plenty to record your girlfriend in the shower. The Samsung SC-MHX10 also features a 1/6 inch CMOS sensor and 10x optical zoom, a 2.7 inch touchscreen LCD display, HDMI connectivity, and a miniUSB 2.0 port.

Sanyo To Release The World

Sanyo claims its new 15,000 lumen PLC-XF47 projector as the “world’s highest light output”, and the 6500 lumen PLC-XP100L as the “world’s brightest portable LCD projector”. Both projectors feature 2000:1 contrast ratios and plenty of input slots. The PLC-XF47 sports wireless HD streaming, 720p and 1080i video up to 100 feet away with less than a millisecond of latency and 1024 x 768 resolution, while the PCL-XP100L has similar resolution but is a third of the cost of XF47. In addition, Sanyo also lines up the PDG-DXT10L projector, which features 5200 lumens and a 2100:1 contrast ratio. The PLC-XF47 will be available in October for $30,000, while the PCL-XP100L and PDG-DXT10L will be released in September for $10,000 and $7000 respectively.

Canon’s new iVIS HR10 digital camcorder records you videos on in either MP4 or H.264 format. This HDV/AVCHD camcorder features a 2.7-inch wide screen, 3.2MP sensor, 10x optical zoom lens, a Full HD 1920 x 1080 CMOS image sensor (1080i) and uses AVCHD video format. The Canon’s iVIS HR10 will be released in August for $1200.

Canon iVIS HR10 Camcorder

The Canon iVIS HR10 is the latest camcorder from Canon. It sports a 8cm DVD media, a CMOS sensor, Digic DVII processor, optical image stabilization and a 1,440×1,080 (1080i) resolution. The iVIS HR10 features 2.7-inch LCD monitor, HDMI / component outputs, USB 2.0, and a miniSD slot for saving 3.1MP pics. With Full HD capability and a 10x optical zoom lens, users can directly record high quality images into the 8cm DVD-R / DVD-RW discs. Its battery provides approximately 95 minutes of video recording with highest quality. Measuring 65mm × 133mm × 93mm and weighing 530grams, the Canon iVIS HR10 camcorder will hit the store shelves by late August.

Samsung released its new camcorder, the VM-X300, which allows you to record DVD-like or Mpeg4 ASP (Advanced Simple Profile) videos in 720×480 and 30fps. No word on pricing or availability so far.
