
Samsung has finally released a new Samsung PIXON M8800 8MP camera phone that is also known as the Samsung Bresson. The handset will be available on November 10th, 2008 for around 550 euros. Measuring 107.9mm × 54.6mm × 14.9mm and weighing 110 grams, the camera phone features a built-in GPS receiver, a built-in accelerometer, DivX playback, and supports quad-band GSM and tri-band HSDPA. Other features include a 3.2-inch touchscreen display (240 x 400 pixels), 8MP camera with auto focus, face recognition, smile detection and blink detection. Unlike other 8MP camera phones that are always come with lots of wireless connectivity options, the spanking new LG KC780 comes without 3G, WiFi and GPS. However, the handset comes equipped with another special features including a 2.4-inch display screen and a slider form factor phone body. Measuring at around 13.9 mm, the 8MP camera phone also features a Schneider-Kreuznach certified lens with an 1600 ISO and Image Stabilizer. The face detection feature will automatically find and focus on people’s faces that allow users to take the best quality pictures. There is also a smile detection technology, which can easily recognize the smile on the people’s face. If the captured picture is too bright, the LG SmartLight setting will automatically fix it. BenQ will release their new 3G handset in the Taiwanese market later this month. Known as the BenQ E55, the phone offers 3G data connection and comes jam packed with a 2MP camera, the secondary video call camera at the middle of the clamshell hinge, a 1-inch 64k colors CSTN external screen with 96 x 64 resolution, and the internal 2-inch TFT screen that supports 262k colors. This clamshell phone is actually the successor of the previous BenQ E53 phone. Its media player sports AAC, MP3, 3GP and MP4 file formats. The BenQ E55 3G phone is priced at around $230. Sharp has decided to release the 923SH 5.2MP camera phone in the Japanese market through Softbank. This handset will be available on July 5th, 2008. The phone features a 3.3-inch AQUOS swiveling LCD with 480 x 845 resolution. Its camera adopts auto-focus feature that stabilizes hand-shake blurring. Let’s forget our 1.3MP camera phone. Because the Sony Ericsson will release its new 8.1MP camera phone with autofocus. Also known as Shiho, the Sony Ericsson C905 Phone also adopts face recognition, Smart Contrast, image stabilization, BestPic, red-eye reduction and a xenon flash. Other features include a TV-out port, a 2.4-inch QVGA display with an accelerometer, Bluetooth, USB 2.0, Wi-Fi with DLNA-support, and GPS. Samsung will release the new MotoZINE ZN5 5-megapixel camera phone, which is powered by Montavista Linux 2.6.1 operating system, Freescale SCM-A11 processor, and 320 × 240 QVGA display. According to retailer Carphone Warehouse, the highly anticipated Nokia N96 phone will be released in the UK this summer. The phone is actually the successor to the famous Nokia N95. The handset supports HSDPA, Wi-Fi, a 5MP camera, 16GB flash memory, 2.8 inch LCD display, and DVB-H tune. The Nokia N96 phone also supports for MPEG 4, Windows Media Video and Flash Video formats. LG is finally releasing its LG Viewty phone (also known as the LG-KU990) for the European market. The camera phone features a 5MP Schneider-Kreuznach digital camera with SmartLight technology, a one-touch Image Stabilizer, and ISO 800. The handset has a beautiful 3 inch touchscreen LCD with handwriting editing function. What makes the LG-KU990 super cool is its ability to play DivX videos, considering most phones only play 3GP or MP4 videos. There is no info on pricing so far, but this sure is a phone to keep an eye on.
