Using the Remote Controlled Reconnaissance Plane from Hammacher, you can take aerial pictures and videos from hundreds of feet above the ground. This toy comes with a built-in digital camera that records up to 15 pictures at the push of a button on the three-channel remote. You can download these pictures using the included USB cable and software than runs on Windows XP/Vista. What’s more, the Remote Controlled Reconnaissance Plane is also able to record up to 14 seconds of video. Sony has announced two new cameras in the form of the semi-rugged DSC-TX5 and mega-zoom DSC-H55. Measuring at 17.7mm slim, the Sony DSC-TX5 is a water-, dust-, shock-, and freeze-proof camera that boasts a 10.2MP Exmor R CMOS sensor, a 4x optical zoom with 25mm wide angle and a 3-inch LCD touchscreen. Pentax has officially released their latest retro point-and-shoot camera, the Optio I-10. Priced at 26,000 Yen ($289), the camera comes equipped with a gyro-based image stabilizer, a 12.1MP CCD sensor, up to 6400 ISO sensitivity, a 5x optical zoom, a 2.7-inch LCD screen, Face Detection and a 26.7MB built-in Memory (expandable with SD/SDHC memory Cards). This camera also supports HD video recording in 1280×720 pixel resolution. Two new DSLR cameras have been released by Mamiya. Known as the Mamiya DM22 and DM28, both cameras provide almost any photographer affordable access to a truly professional digital camera system. The Mamiya DM22 comes with a 22-megapixels of CMOS sensor, meanwhile the DM28 has a bigger 28-megapixels CMOS sensor. Unfortunately, these high-end cameras are not cheap. Casio Exilim EX-Z280 And EX-Z33 Budget Cameras

Casio just released two new cameras from its Exilim series in the form of the EX-Z280 and EX-Z33. The EX-Z280 is a 12.1-Megapixel pocket camera with a 26mm lens, a 4X optical zoom, a 35.7MB onboard memory (upgradable via SD/SDHC slot), and a 2.7-inch LCD display with 114,960 pixels. Priced at $179, this camera is also able to record 720p video.

Available in black, light pink, vivid pink, silver, and blue, the EX-Z33 provides only a 10.1 Megapixel CCD, a 3x optical zoom, a 2.5-inch LCD display with 230,400 pixels, and a 16.9MB onboard memory (expandable via SD/SDHC slot). Sony will release two new alpha DSLR cameras that adopt a new generation of Exmor CMOS sensors and BIONZ image processors. The A550 (14.2MP) and A500 (12.3MP) digital SLR cameras come jam packed with a 3-inch LCD screen that tilts 90 degrees up or down and two Live View functions. The A500 has a 230,000 pixel Clear Photo display, while the A550 features a 921,000 pixel Xtra Fine display. The Sony A550 and A500 will retail for $950 and $750, respectively. Casio Exilim Zoom EX-Z450 Point-and-shoot Camera

The Exilim Zoom EX-Z450 is the latest addition to the Casio’s point-and-shoot camera series. It is a 12.1MP shooter that adopts Exilim Engine 4.0, a 4x optical zoom, and is capable of recording video in 720/24p. In addition, the camera also has an ISO range of 64 to 3200, a 35.7 MB of internal memory, and a new Automatic Focus mode that automatically detects the photo subject even if it is not a human face. The EX-Z450 should automatically adjust exposure and focus to best capture the non-human (or human) subject. It is also capable of high-speed burst shooting at up to 10fps at a reduced resolution.
