
Canon be launching a new camera line and in that is the SD890 IS powershot. It offers a 10 megapixel sensor, 5x optical zoom, 2.5-inch display, and sub 1-inch macro. The SD890 IS is going for about $400 and of course comes out this April. [Canon via Digital Camera Blog]

Japan is getting a dose of Canon with the soon to be released IXY Digital 20IS camera. The camera comes in five colors: silver, white, caramel, brown, and pink along with all the important features like a lens shift-type Image Stabilizer(IS) system, a DIGIC III image processor, 8M CCD sensor and 3X optical zoom lens with support for p to 30fps in 640 x 480 resolution and ISO 1600. The 20IS will release early March for a retail price of $327.

Want a printer that’s both fast and precise? Well Canon has released the ImagePRESS C6000 which can print up to 60 high quality photo on A4 pages per minute. The C6000 also features a small computer powered by a 800MHz CPU, 1.5GB or RAM, 80GB of HDD in RAID 1, as well as a 10.4†LCD. No word on release dates yet, but it will be going for $1,169, so you better be prepared to pay an arm and a leg for this monster.

Canon comes out with great products and the DW-100 portable DVD burner is no exception. It comes with a feature to burn videos from Canon camcorders not only in standard DVD format but in AVCHD DVD format too. In other words, it’s compatible with Canon camcorders. This baby should arrive late April for $269. It looks good inside and out, you can’t go wrong.

Canon plans to launch its latest 21M DSLR ‘EOS 1Ds Mark III’, featuring 21 Megapixel full frame (35mm) CMOS sensor, Dual “DIGIC III†processors to drive 5 fps continuous shooting for up to 56 frames, and Highlight Tone Priority. It also supports auto focus system with 19 cross type sensors and 26 focus assist points, ISO 100-1600 (expandable to L:50 H:3200), and 3-inch 230K pixel LCD with Live View mode. What’s better than a camcorder? A DVD recorder by Canon. The DW-100 allows you to record video from your camera and put it on DVD. Canon has recently unveiled its new compact business projectors. Dubbed as the LV-7365, the projector can project a 100″ image from a distance of 9.2 feet, and comes with a 1.6x zoom lens that has been multicoated to reduce reflections, flare and ghosting. Brightness is rated at 3,000 ANSI lumens, with a contrast ratio of 500:1. However, it only offers a native resolution of 1024×768.Other features include DVI-I input. RCA, D-sub 15 and stereo mini-jack ports. The Canon LV-7365 will be released next month for $1,499.

Canon’s new Digital Camcorder DC230 features 1/6-inch CCD image sensor with 1.07 effective Mega-pixels. This video camera stores recorded files in miniSD card with superior 35x optical zoom through its advanced lens of f = 2.6 – 91 mm, f/2.0 – 5.0 focal length. The gadget has a 2.7 inch wide angle LCD screen and adopts Canon’s DIGIC DV II processing technology and enhanced USB 2.0 support. No word on pricing so far.

Canon rolled out some new REALiS projectors today. The two new flavors are called the SX7 (pictured) and the X700, the former being a high-end, HD-ready, Adobe RGB-accurate model, with a 1440 x 1050 resolution, while the latter is a more entry-level offering 1024 x 768 resolution, and no color matching. Both projectors offers 3,000 hours of lamp life, a 1.7x zoom lens, DVI inputs with HDCP encryption, plus three stereo inputs and one set of outputs. The X700 will be available in October for $3,999, and the SX7 will hit stores in December at $6,999.
