What’s better than a camcorder? A DVD recorder by Canon. The DW-100 allows you to record video from your camera and put it on DVD. It accepts MPEG-2 Video in SD as well as HD video recorded with the AVCHD codec, Blu-Ray disc players as well as PS3′s, connects to any PC with the help of it’s USB 2 connection. Now you can record all those hilarious moments and actually make your own DVD! Coming to stores March 2008.
Canon has recently unveiled its new compact business projectors. Dubbed as the LV-7365, the projector can project a 100″ image from a distance of 9.2 feet, and comes with a 1.6x zoom lens that has been multicoated to reduce reflections, flare and ghosting. Brightness is rated at 3,000 ANSI lumens, with a contrast ratio of 500:1. However, it only offers a native resolution of 1024×768.Other features include DVI-I input. RCA, D-sub 15 and stereo mini-jack ports. The Canon LV-7365 will be released next month for $1,499.
Canon’s new Digital Camcorder DC230 features 1/6-inch CCD image sensor with 1.07 effective Mega-pixels. This video camera stores recorded files in miniSD card with superior 35x optical zoom through its advanced lens of f = 2.6 – 91 mm, f/2.0 – 5.0 focal length. The gadget has a 2.7 inch wide angle LCD screen and adopts Canon’s DIGIC DV II processing technology and enhanced USB 2.0 support. No word on pricing so far.

Canon rolled out some new REALiS projectors today. The two new flavors are called the SX7 (pictured) and the X700, the former being a high-end, HD-ready, Adobe RGB-accurate model, with a 1440 x 1050 resolution, while the latter is a more entry-level offering 1024 x 768 resolution, and no color matching. Both projectors offers 3,000 hours of lamp life, a 1.7x zoom lens, DVI inputs with HDCP encryption, plus three stereo inputs and one set of outputs. The X700 will be available in October for $3,999, and the SX7 will hit stores in December at $6,999.
Canon HR10 DVD camcorder adopts Canon’s superior quality in its stylish, sleek design. The video recorder utilities AVCHD (Advanced Video Codec High Definition) format with DVD as storage for great world-class experience. It is also empowered with Canon’s own Full HD CMOS sensor, advanced DIGIC DV II image processor, with Genuine Canon 10x HD video zoom lens. The camcorder is easy to use and increases convenience through its 2.7” wide Multi-Angle LCD screen. Other features include SuperRange Optical Image Stabilization, Instant AF (Auto Focus), Superb Shooting Control, HDMI Terminal and unique 24p cinema mode. Pricing and availability info are still unknown.

Canon introduced its unique digital camera from the IXUS series, the Canon IXUS 75 digital camera. The shooter comes with a distinctive black ring around the lens with chic metallic and a touch control dial for enhanced control. The camera is digitally styled and features DIGIC III processor with advanced Face Detection Technology. This 7.1 Mega-pixels camera provides 3x optical zoom, 3.0 inch PureColor LCD with 17 shooting modes to suite your needs. With ISO 1600 and Auto ISO Shift you can click bright blur-free images in low or dim light situations. Its Face Detection AF/AE/FE automatically detects the subjects in the frame for maximum exposure, red eye correction can be utilized while playback to remove red-eye.

Check out Canon’s latest Powershot digicams. The SD950 IS Digital ELPH provides a full 12.1MP while the SD870 only features 8MP sensor. The SD950 offers a 3.7x zoom with optical image stabilization, DIGIC III image processing, Canon’s latest face recognition tech, an optical viewfinder and 2.5-inch scratch-resistant LCD with anti-reflection coating.
The SD870 adopts a 3.8x wide-angle optical zoom and 3-inch LCD. The SD950 and SD870 will cost you $450 and $400 respectively, when they hit shelves in September.

The Canon EOS-1Ds Mark III is now official, complete with its dual Digic III processors and ultra-low noise full-frame 21.1MP CMOS sensor. Additionally, the digicam can capture 5 images per second up to 56 JPEGs or 12 RAWs. Read the full official specs here. Canon’s EOS-1Ds Mark III is priced at $7,999 when it gets released in November.
The Canon HG10 High Definition Camcorder is the first Canon [tag]camcorder[/tag] to record on a hard disk drive. The Camcorder Info people reviewed all the features starting with the glass lens with the 10x optical zoom. Next, the grip is comfortable when you actually hold it in your hands, and it features zoom control which is “pro grade”. They don’t think much of the AVCHD code because it gives off a noticeable blur when in motion. Even though a lot of the features have some flaws to correct, they still call it the best HDD camcorder available.
