Maserati showed off its sexy new two-door coupe GranTurismo at Tokyo Motor Show 2007. The coupe is powered by 4.2L V8 engine with 405 horse power, fast enough to outrun crooked Italian cops. Designed by Pininfarina, the car became famous when it was used in the Sony PlayStation 3′s “GranTurismo 5: Prologue” video game. We assume this vehicle will make any chick outside a club kill to get in and “become a star.”

Daihatsu’s Open Future Concept, or OFC-1 was debuted in Frankfurt. And now, the company showed off this new concept car in Tokyo Motor Show in Japan. The car is powered by a turbocharged, 658cc three-cylinder engine and adopts stop-start technology to increase fuel efficiency to 69 mpg. Its seven-speed CVT can be shifted via paddles. The OFC-1 also sports 17-inch wheels and the retractable hardtop.

Suzuki introduced the company’s new CUV(Crossover Utility Vehicle) concept car at the Tokyo Motor Show 2007. Dubbed as the X-HEAD, it is an environmental-friendly concept car with hybrid engine and spacious storage room. The car is powered by 1.4L engine and 6-speed automatic transmission. No word on when this concept will go into mass production.
Nissan recently showcased its new concept car called the Round Box at Tokyo Motor Show 2007. It is a small compact convertible concept car that features ‘Road Surface Window’, enabling users to see the road and feel the thrills of driving inside the car. Its newly ‘Play Catch’ system also helps the passengers to feel a sense of oneness by sharing driving information and entertainment content.

Nissan has introduced its new GT-R at the Tokyo Motor Show 2007. The car is actually a competitor of the Porsche 911 Turbo, Dodge Viper, and Corvette Z06. See more pictures after the jump.

Like the Challenge Stradale was to the 360 Modena, this Scuderia is an evolution of the F430, taking the car from perennial contender in the high-end sports car market to weekend special. Think Gallardo Superleggera, Porsche GT3 RS, et al. In this case the Ferrari drops a couple hundred pounds and gets a slight cavallini bump. In real numbers that’s a weight savings of 100kg (220 lbs.) and 510 horsepower instead of 483 from Ferrari’s 4.3L V8.

The Novitec Tunero F430 is actually a modified version of Ferrari F430 in matte black color which was recently shown by Novitec at the Frankfurt Motor Show 2007. Dubbed as the Tunero, the car features 2 race inter cooled supercharged with new intake system, fuel injectors and oil coolers. The engine runs at 707 hp at 8,350 rpm and 525 lb/ft of torque at 6300 rpm. The Novitec Tunero also can accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in just 3.5 seconds and has a top speed of 216 mph. The Nissan GT-R will go toe-to-toe with the Chevrolet Corvette Z06 and Porsche 911 Turbo. The GT-R’s twin-turbo V6 gives it a startling 0 to 60 mph time of near 3.5 seconds and a top speed of 192 mph. That V6 cranks out 473 hp and 433 lb-ft of torque, driving all four wheels through a rear-mounted transaxle. In between is a GR6 dual-clutch six-speed automatic you can operate via paddles on the steering wheel. Base price is expected to be less than $80,000.
