Onkyo will release its new small audio system, the CR-D2, on September 11th, 2008. The audio system provides a built-in CD player and FM tuner and boasts a maximum output power of 60Watts x2, a signal / Noise ratio of 100dB, and a frequency response of 10Hz-60kHz. Runat Japan has announced a CD player based on the character Stitch from Disney’s popular series ‘Lilo and Stitch’. The mouth of Stitch opens wide to reveal the CD tray, the ears double up as speakers and the teeth become controls. It packs in a AM / FM tuner and the onboard speakers deliver an output of 0.6W×2ch. The Exemode ER-250 is an MP3 player that comes jam packed with a CD player. The gadget also has an SD memory card slot that accepts SD/MMC(max 2GB) and a USB port. Check out this cool looking CD player concept by Antoine Lebrun and Volkan Akbiyik called the Pandora Alcantara. It is a wall mounted CD player that features tilt sensing technologies with a remote control that comes in the form of a tilt sensing bar with a touchscreen. Japan is dropping some goodies for your iPod and here’s yet another one by TEAC. The SR-L250i is an all-in-one iPod system that is also an alarm, CD player, USB key, and of course iPod dock. The USB key allows you to store MP3 files so you can play those along with your iTunes. Hopefully Japan will bring this to the U.S, no word on pricing or availability so far.
