LG will launch a new phone especially for 30-40 year old consumers. The FOMA L705i Wine phone comes with a 2.2-inch wide LCD and double size buttons and speaker, enlarges even invisible words with a built-in camera and offer words format twice as big. Samsung is dropping a phone made specifically for India called the Guru 100. It features a 3.86cm 128×128 pixels color display, Hinglish SMS support, speaker phone, and 500 contacts phone book capacity along with MP3 tunes with 2 preloaded Bollywood tunes, 9-hour battery life, and mobile tracker. People from the University of Cambridge have developed a futuristic cell phone concept. It uses nanotechnology and comes with a detachable speaker that either clips onto the ear as a headset or connects to the main phone as a speaker. The phone uses nanotechnology to provide a touch screen display that is both translucent and flexible. Hopefully Nokia will release this sometime within the next 7 years or maybe even sooner. It comes with a 2.2-inch display, 3.15-megapixel camera, 8GB of built-in memory, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP, and USB 2.0 connectivity, as well as an FM transmitter. If you’re looking for a music phone that isn’t all that fancy, then the Motorola W270 might be a great phone for you. Considering all the features it comes with like support for Hinglish (Indian English) and seven African languages, Motorola’s CrystalTalk technology, FM radio with RDS, a dedicated music key for the digital audio player ( iMelody, MIDI, MP3, AMR), a microSD card slot for cards up to 2GB, and GPRS. So if any of you are planning to either a trip to India or Africa in the near future, you might wanna pick up this phone. The W270 will drop sometime in the first quarter for a varying price. Talk about fragile phones! The Edge concept cell phone by Chris Owens not only features a glass keypad with LED lights, but has a camera. When you get a call, the embedded LED creates a glowing affect lighting up the glass and you then slide out the glass keypad. Sagem will drop a stylish yet basic phone called the My411C, that is geared more towards the ladies. It comes in a champagne white color with a teddy bear design on the front along with a VGA camera for pictures and video clip capturing, WAP 2.0, mp3 player, and Bluetooth connectivity. NEC will be launching it’s new N905i phone in Japan. The N905i comes with a 5.2 megapixel camera with face-detection and auto-focus function, high-speed mobile web browsing along with HSDPA support and a 1-Seg TV tuner.
