
Amazon has started selling the unlocked version of Sony Ericsson Xperia X10. In case you didn’t know, this Android 1.6-powered handset is powered by a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon CPU, a 4-inch WVGA touchscreen display, HSDPA, Wi-Fi, GPS, and an 8MP AutoFocus camera. The phone has a 1GB of internal memory, which is expandable via a microSD card (up to 16GB). You can purchase the unlocked version of Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 for $955.95 a pop. Oakley and Nokia has joined together to launch the limited edition Nokia N97 for Winter Olympics 2010. Nokia will release only 200 units of this handset. The phone features the Oakley Thunderbird (the specially designed logo for the Vancouver Olympics) laser etched onto the back of the phone. Nokia will launch the first handset from the Cseries family in the form of the Nokia C5 candybar. The S60 3rd Edition-powered phone features a 2.2-inch QVGA display, HSDPA, OVI Maps 3.0 with free navigation, Nokia Messaging, a 3.5mm headset jack, a stereo IHF speaker, a 3.2MP camera, and an included 2GB memory card. Toshiba has recently introduced two new Windows Mobile 6.5 smartphones at Mobile World Congress 2010. Known as the Toshiba TG02 and K01. Both handsets feature a 4.1-inch WVGA touchscreen and a 1GHz Snapdragon processor. The Toshiba TG02 is a tablet-shaped cell phone that is actually an upgraded version of the previously released TG01. Measuring 9.9 mm thick, the new model features a capacitive screen and a new 3D user interface. Meanwhile, the K01 is a slider handset with a sliding keyboard. Measuring at 12.9 mm, it will also be Toshiba’s first smartphone with an AMOLED screen. Both cell phones will have a microSD memory card slot that supports up to 32GB. Still remember the Nokia X6 32GB Come with Music? Nokia today introduced the 16GB model of this handset. Known as the Nokia X6 16GB, the cell phone features a 3.2-inch full touchscreen display in 16:9 ratio (360 x 640 pixels) and 16 million colors. The 16GB model also boasts a 5-megapixel camera with dual flash LED for low light photography, a 433.9MHz processor, Bluetooth 2.0, a 3.5mm headphone jack, A-GPS and WLAN. Available in all black, all white, white with pink highlights and white with yellow highlights colors, the Nokia X6 16GB will be sold without the Come with Music service but will come with the latest Symbian S60 5th edition. Korean phone manufacturer Pantech has rolled out their latest cell phone, the Sky IM-U560K. Designed for girls, the handset features a touchscreen display and an accelerometer allowing you to enjoy different games and application, as well as being able to completely manipulate its GUI via hand gestures and movements. The Sky IM-U560K features a 2.6-inch screen, a DMB TV tuner, an MP3 player, and a Korean to English TTS (Text to Speech) Translator. Too bad, there is no info on pricing of this cell phone. Nokia’s 5530 XpressMusic Games Edition is now available in the US market. Known as Nokia’s most affordable touchscreen phone, this handset comes equipped with a total of 20 games from renowned developers EA Mobile and Gameloft. The Nokia 5530 XpressMusic Games Edition packs a 3.2-megapixel AF camera, Bluetooth 2.0, WiFi, a 70MB internal memory, and an included 4GB microSD card. The myTouch 3G Fender Edition will be released via T-Mobile USA on January 20, 2010. T-Mobile has teamed up with legendary guitarist Eric Clapton to promote this handset. FYI, the myTouch 3G Fender Edition has a 3.5mm headset jack and a 16GB MicroSD card in the box. The phone comes preloaded with Eric Clapton hit songs like “Wonderful Tonight,” “Layla,” “Rock ‘N’ Roll Heart” and “My Father’s Eyes.” There are also several songs from Avril Lavigne, Wyclef Jean and Brad Paisley. Samsung today unveiled a new range of cell phones called the Samsung Shark. These handset are designed to bring a range of functions to users including social media and multimedia functions. There are three models in the Samsung Shark range including the Samsung Shark S5350, the Samsung Shark S5550 and the Samsung Shark S3550.
The Samsung Shark S5350 is an 11.9-inch thick candybar cell phone with a QVGA display, HSDPA, a 3.2-megapixel camera, a microSD card slot, and a built-in 100MB of storage space. The phone also supports a wide range of instant messenger functions such as GTalk and AIM. Meanwhile, the Samsung Shark S5550 is a slider phone with an AMOLED display screen, a 5MP Autofocus camera module, a 110MB of internal memory, a microSD (up to 8GB), Bluetooth, and USB port. And finally, the Shark S3550 is a compact cell phone that supports GTalk, AIM and Parlingo chat clients. Known as the Motorola Brute i680, this clamshell meets the Military Specification 810F for shock, vibration, dust, low and high temperatures, radiation, humidity, blowing rain and low pressure. The Motorola Brute i680 comes jam packed with a 2.2-inch internal display with 176 x 220 pixels, a 1.3 inch external display with 120 x 160 pixels, GPS, Stereo Bluetooth, an MP3 player, a web browser, a 2MP camera with flash, a 180MB of internal memory, and a memory card slot.
