National Geographic Releases Dual SIM Duet Travel Phone

National Geographic and Cellular Abroad have collaborated to launch a new dual SIM handset which is dubbed as the National Geographic Duet Travel Phone (model name D888). The handset features a National Geographic pay-as-you-go SIM card that allows you make affordable calls from no less than 185 countries, and receive free calls in over 80 countries. The phone also supports a secondary SIM card of your choice. Sadly, this Tri-band GSM (900/1800/1900 MHz) phone lacks of 3G support. Other features include a 2.8-inch QVGA display, a mobile TV, Bluetooth, an FM radio, a VGA camera with video recording, a 1GB MicroSD card, and a pre-loaded National Geographic content (ringtones, videos, wallpapers). Philips Releases C600 and W186 Handsets

Philips will release a couple of new mobile phones in the form of the C600 and W186. The Philips C600 is a dual-mode handset that works on Tri-band GSM networks (900/1800/1900 MHz), and on CDMA 800 MHz. The phone also has two call keys, one for GSM and one for CDMA. Other features include a 2.4-inch QVGA touchscreen display, an MP3 player, a 1.3MP camera with video recording, a 2.5MB of internal memory and MicroSD card support (up to 2GB).

Meanwhile, the Philips W186 is made for China Unicom’s Wo brand. The handset features Tri-band GSM (900/1800/1900 MHz) and dual-band UMTS (850/2100 MHz) connectivity, with HSDPA 3.6Mbps. Other specs include a 2-inch TFT display with 176 x 220 pixels, a 2MP camera with video recording, Bluetooth with A2DP, an FM radio, a 150MB of internal memory, and MicroSD card support (up to 8GB). Samsung B7610 Officially Released in Singapore

Samsung Korea today released in Singapore the B7610 smartphone. It is a WinMo PocketPC with a sliding QWERTY keyboard, a 3.5-inch WVGA AMOLED touchscreen, a 5MP auto focus camera with LED flash, HSPA, Wi-Fi, GPS, an FM radio, and a microSD slot (with support for up to 32GB). The company also released the Samsung Pixon 12 M8910 12MP camera phone, the Samsung Jackie B7320, and the Android powered Samsung I7500. Unfortunately, there is no word on pricing so far. More

Verizon Wireless and Casio have joined together to launch the new Casio Exilim C721 that has a 180-degree rotating display, a 5MP camera with a 3x optical zoom, a LED flash, Auto Focus, and Image Stabilizer.
