Samsung releases three new HDTV LCD (Samsung LNT4065F, Samsung LNT4665F and Samsung LNT5265F) at CES in Las Vegas. They will be out in March 2007 and features a resolution of 1920×1080, a contrast ratio of 12 000:1 and support for HDMI version 1.3. No word yet on pricing.
LG Electronics introduces the “Super Multi Blue” Player LG BH100 at the 2007 International CES. This advanced dual-format high-definition disc player will be the first player on the market with the capability to play both Blu-ray Disc and HD DVD. Using this drive, we are no longer forced to choose between the two formats. LG BH100 will be available in the States during the first quarter of 2007 with the expected price tag of $1,199.
Samsung Telecommunications America announces at CES 2007 that they are working with 20th Century Fox to launch the limited edition of The Simpsons Movie collectible mobile phone. It features an embedded The Simpsons Movie logo with the words, “Special Edition” and pre-loaded with exclusive The Simpsons Movie content. Samsung Electronics shows off its new YP-T9 and YP-K5 MP3 players in CES 2007. Available in jet black and deep purple, the YP-T9 MP3 players provides 2GB and 4GB of storage capacity, Bluetooth support, and uses Samsung’s high-quality NAND flash memory. The player is now on sale for $129.99 (2GB), and $179.99 (4GB).
Motorola has launched an update to their Q smartphone, dubbed as the Motorola Q Pro. Designed for enterprise users, the new version provides a better security software, longer battery life, document editing capabilities, new fun accessories, direct shipment services, and enterprise call center support.

Here is the latest cell phone from LG, the LG-VX9400, which supports the MediaFLO (equivalent to the DMB, 1Seg or DVB-H). Sony’s new 70 inches Bravia LCD TV provides a brighter image than the previous models because it utilities a LED backlight. In addition, this new LCD TV is “Full HD” which means it supports a 1080p resolution. Too bad, the product demonstration was featuring a poor-quality video blown up to 70 inch.

Fujitsu introduces the PalmSecure device at CES 2007. This new technology will replace the biometric security that uses fingerprints in the near future. It uses palm vein authentication, offering a security solution that is much harder to forge. You just need to place your palm above the device, and then a special algorithm template will determine whether you are eligible to login or not. The PalmSecure retails for $750 each.
