Hitachi W51H Phone With Super Large Display

The Hitachi W51H is the clamshell phone that has a 2.9 inch wide display with the resolution of 480 x 800 pixels. The handset also supports an external color display, a fingerprint scanner to safeguard your sensitive data, a 2MP shooter with LED Flash, a 30MB of onboard memory, and a MicroSD slot for additional storage capacity. From this configuration, it seems that the phone is targeted towards business users. The Hitachi W51H measures 50mm ×106mm ×22mm and weighs 142 grams. It is now available in Japan via the KDDI network.

Pantech IM-U170 Metallic Phone

Here is an update for the Pantech IM-U170 that we mentioned several days ago. Just a recap, the phone has the similar design with the LG Shine. It provides a mirror-like keypad, a 2.0MP shooter, secondary VGA camera, microSD card slot, HSDPA, and a host of multimedia functions.

The keypad is illuminated with Electroluminescense light, while the GUI is flash based and has the world’s first face-recognition mobile game. Its integrated camera tracks the user’s face movement and acts as a controller for the game. The phone will be on sale under SKY in Korea. Read the full specs after the jump!

Nokia 6155i Phone

The Nokia 6155i is a mid-level CDMA cell phone that will be available soon in the US market. It is also said that the handset will be compatible with some U.S. networks. Measuring 87mm x 45mm x 26 mm, this clamshell phone is capable of 3.50 hours of talk-time and 480 hours of standby time. Other features include a 1MP camera which can capture video, a LED flash, speakerphone, push-to-talk, FM radio, and infrared. No word on pricing and availability yet.

Japanese giant company NTT DoCoMo has developed this Nintendo Gameboy Advance SP-looking cellphone. This prototype has the solar cells on the external side of the clamshell. This concept phone might turn out to be the perfect solution for those who always forget to bring their phone charger.

We’re running a little late on this one but Sony announced their newest mirror-finish clamshell, the Z310. This triband handset (EDGE/GPRS 900/1800/1900) features the usual SMS, MMS and speakerphone capabilities, a VGA camera, Polyphonic and MP3 Music Ringtones, IR and Bluetooth connectivity, and 2 display screens: a monochromatic 96×64 pixel external display and a bigger 128×160 pixel 65,536 color internal display. The handset is available in three different colors, Jet Set Black, Blush Bronze or Lush Pink. The Z310 is sure to reflect your lifestyle whether you work hard or play hard.
