That’s correct, the Emotiv EPOC is a headset that controls video games with your mind. It recognizes over 30 expressions, emotions, and actions. The game itself is trivial compared to the technology and its implications. The potential effect on society this kind of technology could have is immeasurable, just check out all the movies associated with this kind of stuff. We just hope it doesn’t expose just how dirty our minds are. The headset will ship with a game for the PC later this year for around $300. You can check out the press release. [BoingBoing] More

A Dublin, Ireland based company called Lincor Solutions has created the MEDIVista which is a touchscreen LCD display designed to be used by patients, doctors and nurses for a variety of different purposes. The LCD display is mounted to the side of a hospital bed which the hospital staff can use to display x-rays or medical information, and the patient can use for entertainment (no pr0n). Users can watch IPTV, listen to the radio or audio books, make VoIP calls, surf the ‘net, check email, as well as play web and network based games. What a cool device eh! It still won’t make the hospital food taste any better though and it won’t tell you your nurse’s turn-ons, so tough cookies. [MedGadget]

Asus has just made special version of the Nova P22 for the states and is now available for a whopping $899. It comes with 1GB of RAM, 1.86GHz Core 2 Duo processor, and 256MB (shared) Intel GMA 3000 integrated graphics along with a bite-size package. You’d be better off buying a full size, but on the up side, the P22 saves you space. [Engadget]
