The 2011 Chevrolet Volt is a plug-in series-hybrid electric vehicle by General Motors, which will be released in 2010. The car is designed to run purely on electricity from on-board batteries. For your info, the 2011 Chevrolet Volt concept car was officially introduced at the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) on January 7, 2007 in Detroit, Michigan. An updated version was revealed at the Shanghai Auto Show in April 2007 in Shanghai, China, and the final version was unofficially unveiled on the internet on September 8, 2008. [AutoBlog]
The Busan International Motor Show 2008 is currently displaying a total of 11 concept cars and 13 eco-friendly cars. One of them is the new Beat mini concept car from GM Daewoo. There is no word on when this concept car will go into mass production. [AVING]

Opel’s Flextreme concept car makes its premiere at the International Motor Show (IAA) in Frankfurt. The concept boasts the body of a dynamic monocab, and the completely new environmentally friendly E-Flex electric propulsion concept. Hyundai Motor introduced its environmentally friendly concept car in the Korea market. Known as the HED-4 QarmaQ. the car is powered by 2.0 liter I4 diesel engine with a top speed of 170ps. The QarmaQ was developed in conjunction with GE plastics and is made out of environmentally friendly and advanced materials including a panoramic windshield made of Lexan and a patented front end designed from energy-absorbent, pedestrian-saving materials.
