Munich-based Pilotfish today introduced its Ondo music editing mobile concept, which is half cellphone and half music mixer. The concept has a small mixing panel, three removable recording sticks with internal memory and a bendable center to provide users the ability to insert pitch bends and relieve stress to the music. There are also three OLED-infused sticks that function as the main phone panel when installed, or they can be clipped onto instruments for recording purposes when removed. More
Normally translating any book into braille would more than double its thickness. So in order to help the blind read more books, designer Seon-Keun Park, Byung-Min Woo, Sun-Hye Woo and Jin-Sun Park tried to solve this problem by creating the Braille e-book concept. Think of it as the braille version of the Kindle. It adopts the EAP technology that can dynamically change the surface pattern by way of an electromagnetic signal to simulate braille text. Tao Ma cleverly came up with this design for the Vain Wrist Watch that can display time on the skin! The watch reflects time with changing colors at different levels of brightness. It is also able to show the current time in Chinese. Now why they call it “Vain” we don’t know, I’m sure they meant “Vein” otherwise it would be pretty vain. Lol. More

Designed by BenQ’s Qisda Creative Design Center, the BenQ Qisda QPD-111 MID concept features a 5 inch multitouch display that comes with a red “Hot Key” which is able to turn on the Internet connection when pressed. Tryi Yeh has creatively designed the new Apple Mouse concept that looks awesome with its aluminum or plastic finishes. Designed by Nicolas Bernal, the Vertigo Self-Heating Container is perfect for those who like outdoor activities. This container features a high performance dynamo that makes it possible to heat food in minutes. The external shell is crafted from Polybutylene Terephthalate (PBT), which is a chemical and mechanical resistant material that can withstand temps up to 150° Celsius. There is also a sensor-triggered LED that indicates when the food (or beverage) reaches the optimum temperature. [Yanko]
The latest Sony MP3 player features a simplified interface with keys that are clearly laid out and raised. There is a high contrast screen, with light text on a dark background, making it easy to read. Available in 4GB to 8 GB of storage space, the gadget also features FM radio. Designed by Erick Sakal, the Alien Sound System is actually a multifunctional dock-enabled system with modern wireless capabilities. The speaker consists of a subwoofer that is integrated into the center with two side tweeters and a prime speaker on top. The Alien Sound System also boasts wireless Bluetooth connectivity to connect with your iPod or iPhone. There is no word on pricing so far. [TrendHunter]
