
Asus has officially announced their new 14.1-inch F8 laptop series with the revolutionary Infusion technology. The laptop is designed for business users and looks good from outside. The Infusion technology is “a cutting edge manufacturing process used to produce the unique designs laptop surfaces. Being inlaid within the chassis itself, the motifs are an integral part of the entire laptop and will not fade with time. The Infusion surface also provides a new level of resilience, resisting scratches while looking sleek.”
The Asus F8 features Santa Rosa platform, Core 2 Duo T7700/T7500/T7300/T7100 processor, 2GB RAM, 160GB HDD, ATI Mobility Radeon HD2600 with VRAM 512MB or GeForce8600M GS with VRAM 256MB, 1.3MP swivel webcam, a/b/g/n wireless, fingerprint reader, Bluetooth, and Windows Vista operating system. No word on pricing and availability yet.

Acer Aspire 5920 and 4710 are part of the Gemstone notebook PC line. The Aspire 5920 is built on Acer’s Empowering Technology. It features a 15.4-inch HD widescreen display with CrystalBrite, and Dolby Home Theater Virtual Surround Sound for a complete HD experience. The laptop runs on a 2.0GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor with 2GB of RAM, a 256MB NVIDIA GeForce 8600M-GT Grpahics Engine, 160GB of hard disk space, a DVD Dual Layer Drive, integrated web cam, WiFi and Bluetooth.
The Aspire 4710 is smaller at 14.1-inches and powered by a 2.0 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor and comes jam packed with 512MB RAM, 120GB HDD, a dual layer DVD drive, and WiFi. FYI, this unit comes pre loaded with Linux Basic Edition and not a version of Windows. The Aspire 5920 and 4710 notebook PCs are available at Acer authorized resellers and selected retailers throughout North America, with pricing at around $1999 for the Aspire 5920 and $599 for the Aspire 4710.

Fujitsu is finally released its N6460 laptop with 17-inch LCD display that we mentioned several weeks ago. The laptop is targeted towards media/business users. It comes jam packed with a built-in Blu-ray / HD DVD drive, ATI Mobility Radeon HD 2600 graphics with 512MB HyperMemory, Core 2 Duo T5250/T7100/T7300 processor with Intel 965PM chipset, up to 4GB RAM, 1440 x 900 resolution, 500GB hard drive, a/b/g/n wireless, and Windows Vista operating system. The N6460 is currently available with a starting price of $1,799.

MSI GX600 is a new notebook for gamers which features the company’s proprietary Turbo Drive Engine Technology. Using this technology, users can increase the speed of the CPU and system by 20% by simply pressing a silver button on the keyboard; that’s like a ‘turbo boost’ for a laptop.
The laptop is powered by Intel Core 2 Duo processor, Intel PM965 Express chipset, a 15.4-inch WSXGA+ display, and up to 2GB DDR2 533/667 memory. It adopts Nvidia GeForce 8600M GT display adapter with 512MB memory. No word on pricing or availability so far.

Toshiba released their first U.S. notebook computer with HD DVD-R drive. Known as the Qosmio G45-AV680, this 17-inch notebook comes with a piano-key white glossy finish, back lit (blue light) control knobs, external USB HDTV Tuner, four Harman Kardon Bass Reflex stereo speakers with a built-in sub woofer, and Dolby Home Theater technology. In the inside, the laptop is powered by 2.0GHz Core 2 Duo T7300 processor, up to 4GB RAM, Intel Turbo Memory (1GB), 320GB hard drive, HD DVD burner, and Nvidia GeForce 8600 GT graphics card with 512MB memory (plus up to 255MB dynamically allocated shared memory using Nvidia TurboCache technology). The Qosmio G45-AV680 is now available for $3200.

Mouse Computer of Japan introduced their latest notebook PC called the LuvBook J120S. That’s right! Love it or hate it, this laptop is going to be called a LuvBook. It is powered by an Intel Core 2 Duo T7100 processor, a 12.1 inch wide-screen WXGA LCD display, Intel 4965AGN WLAN, 1GB DDR2 memory (expandable up to 2GB), an 80GB SATA hard drive, 3 USB ports, and one Gigabit LAN port. The J120S also comes with Windows Vista Home Premium Edition operating system. Its DVD burner sports DVD+/-R, DVD+/-R and DVD+RW media. The LuvBook J120S retails for approx. $990.

The laptop also offers a total of five USB 2.0 ports, FireWire, VGA / DVI / S-Video out, a 56k modem, Ethernet, and a powerful six-cell battery. Pricing info is still a mystery.

Shuttle comes back with a stylishly designed barebone SG33G5M small form factor (SFF) PC which is designed for multimedia users. It features HDMI connector and VFD display for viewing information on the playing song, TV programme or DVD. The PC is powered by Intel G33 Express chipset, support for Core 2 Duo / Core 2 Quad / Celeron / Pentium dual core processors, up to 4GB RAM, Intel GMA 3100 graphics, 8-channel audio with Dolby Digital Live! and DTS Connect, I.C.E. heat pipe cooling system, infrared remote control, and Windows Vista operating system. More important than all the technical jargon, it looks pretty cool. Shuttle XPC Barebone SG33G5M media desktop will be available soon for $450.

Fujitsu’s latest notebook, the LifeBook A3130, is a Windows Vista ready laptop that comes with 15.4-inch LCD screen and is powered by a 2GHz AMD Turion processor, 2GB of RAM, a 120GB HDD, an ATI Radeon Xpress 1150 graphics card with 256MB of RAM, and a DVD-RW optical drive. The A3130 also sports Bluetooth, 802.11a/b/g, five USB ports, and a fingerprint reader for data security purpose (what files are you hiding?!). What’s more, the laptop also sports a spill-resistant keyboard for those who are clumsy and a V.90 56K modem. The LifeBook A3130 retails for $1149.
