
Intel is preparing to introduce a six-core chip called the Dunnington. This six-core Dunnington microprocessor will use three dual core 45 nanometre Penryn processors with a shared 16MB L3 cache. Haier T31G launched a 13.3-inch widescreen laptop in Korea market. The laptop offers 1.73GHz Intel Core Duo processor T2250 (2MB L2 cache/533 FSB), 128MB nVIDIA GeForce Go 7400 graphic chipset, 512MB DDR2 533 memory, S-ATA 80GB hard disk, and 1.3MP webcam. Pricing info is still in a mystery.

HP Pavilion HDX series is the biggest notebook ever produced. The notebook offers Ultra BrightView, four Altec Lansing speakers plus a subwoofer, a dockable Media Center remote control and is capable of HD 1080p resolution. HP Pavilion HDX series requires the HDX adopted ATI Mobility Radeon X2600 512MB XT graphics, Intel Core2Duo Extreme processor, up to 400GB HDD and 4GB RAM. It will be released with the estimated price tag of $2,999.

According to rumor, Apple will release the new version of iMac in the near future. The new iMac will be available in both black and white. It will probably be powered by Core 2 Duo processors. Unfortunately, there is no info on the release date.

HAIER introduced their two new laptops in Korea, the T31G and W18. The HAIER T31G comes equipped with 13.3 inches WXGA widescreen (16:10), GeForce FO 7400 with 128MB of VRAM, 1.73Ghz Core 2 Duo T2250 CPU, 512MB RAM, an 80GB HDD, 1.3MP webcam and DVD/CD-R combo. The HAIER W18 features 12.1 inches screen with the same graphic card, Core 2 Duo T2250, 512MB for the RAM, 120GB SATA HDD and the DVD/CD-R combo. The pricing of these laptops are still unknown.

Toshiba has released the Satellite A200 Onyx Blue 15.4-inch CSV widescreen laptop in Korea market. The laptop supports Windows Vista Home Premium, and Intel Core2Duo processor. The Satellite A200 also offers an attractive onyx blue metallic case, SRS WOW 3D sound audio and 1.3MP webcam. Pricing info is still unknown.

The limited edition LG Xnote S1 is now available in Korea with a nice “Return to Nature” signature on the body. As a reminder, the Xnote S1 QP740K laptop boasts the 15.4 inch WSXGA+ screen, the 2.16Ghz Core 2 Duo T7400 processor, 2GB of memory, 160GB of disk space, and an ATI Radeon X1600 with 256MB of VRAM.

Sony Japan is ready to launch the Sony VAIO VGC-LA73DB. This computer boasts a 2.16 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo processor, 1 GB of RAM. and nVidia Geforce Go 7600 GPU, a 320GB hard drive, digital TV tuner card, and a 19 inch TFT LCD supporting a resolution of 1,680×1,050. It also supports TV recording up to 34.5 hours of programming. The VGC-LA73DB has a Blu-Ray burner and comes equipped with a fully functional remote control and wireless keyboard / mouse. The VAIO VGC-LA73DB will be available in Japan from May 19th for approx. $3355.

LG Korea has announced the availability of the X400 series laptops in Korea. Available in blue and white, the laptop comes jam packed with an Intel Core 2 Duo processor at 1.73 Ghz, 1GB DDR2 memory, 120 GB hard drive, ATI Mobility Radeon X2300, and 14.1 inch widescreen display. The LG X-Note X400 series is available only in Korea. No word on pricing yet.

Apple has already upgraded its Mac Pro desktop with a pair of 3GHz quad-core Intel Xeon processors. And off course it is not cheap! The basic Mac Pro retails for $2,200. Replace the two dual-core 2GHz CPUs with the two quad-core chips and the price almost doubles to $3,997. And then you can buy 16GB of memory and the price will be $4,499.
