
Samsung will be dropping a new DAP phone in the near future known as the i458 DAP phone. It comes with B&O’s ICEpower audio module along with a 2.4†LCD display, 3.5G support, Symbian S60 v3.1, 25MB internal memory, 3.5mm audio jack, and a microSDHC memory card slot. Audio-Technica has dropped 2 new models of DAP speakers. The first one is the AT-SP250 which can be hooked up to any iPod as well as the iPhone and iPod Touch. The other one is called the AT-SP230 which can be used with all digital audio players including all models and brands. No word on when and how much these are going for, but they shouldn’t be pricey considering they’re pretty basic. [Akihabara]

Sony has just announced the arrival of the ICDUX70 and ICDUX80 voice recorders that double as digital audio players (DAPS). They feature a 1GB / 2GB of internal storage space and play back for MP3 files and record in MP3 stereo format, can capture 290 / 581 hours of audio in LP mode and is powered by plugging into a USB port. No word on pricing, but these two should be available later this month.

Another CES release by Creative comes the MuVo T200 digital audio player. It features your choice of either a 2GB or 4GB storage, display, FM radio, and voice recorder for a retail price of $59 and $79 respectively.

This first DAP by Evergreen is a do-it-yourself kit which allows you to build it. The MG-200 is the latest flash-based DAP from MPIO. Available with either 1.2 or 4GB capacity, the gadget plays MP3 and WMA files and video files. This digital audio player also supports SDHC cards (up to 8GB), and an FM tuner. Its battery lasts for 18h of battery life while playing MP3 files. Measuring 85.6mm x 39.1mm x 10.8mm and weighing 42grams, the MPIO MG-200 will be available in Japan before Christmas.

Cowon Japan will release its new iAUDIO 7 in the Japanese market. This 16GB MP3 player comes equipped with 1.3-inch TFT-LCD with 260,000 colors and swing touch button. The player also support EQ filter allowing users to adjust bandwidth and frequencies of each sound band in the Equalizer, FM radio, voice recording, text and image viewer. The player retails for approx. $330.

The highly anticipated A3 from Cowon will be released in November 14 in Korea. The gadget features interesting specifications including a 4 inch screen (800×480), MP3, WMA, FLAC, OGG, AAC, AC3 audio files, as well as DivX, Xvid, Mpeg4, WMV9/8/7, H.264 video files. The player also sports an HDTV out, DMB/1-Seg/DVB-T (external), FM tuner, and Word/Excel/PDF reader. The Cowon A3 is priced at $385 for the 30GB version, and $462 for the 60GB.

LG has recently released its Shining Stone UP3 S2 MP3 player that is made of high quality material and a metal body. Available in five colors including black diamond, crystal silver, ruby red, pink topaz, and sapphire blue, the gadget features in-ear earphones, an integrated FM radio, voice recording capability, USB connectivity, and a 65k color OLED display. The gadget also sports MP3, WMA, OGG, and ASF file formats. The 1GB model retails for $77, while the 2GB model for $94. The pricing for the 4GB model is still unknown. But, I’m sure it will be expensive.

Samsung introduced this morning in Korea its new Samsung YP-T10 Digital Audio Player. The gadget is loaded with a multimedia player that sports MP3, WMA, OGG, WMV file formats, a 2 inch screen, FM tuner, voice recorder, BlueTooth, and Character GUI. Available in black, red, green or white, the new MP3 player weighs at just 43 grams. The company also claims that the player’s battery offers up to 30 hours of audio playback or 4 hours of video playback. Suggested price for 2GB is $175 and $210 for 4GB.
