The spanking new Dell Inspiron Mini 12 netbook has been released in Japan. It is a little bit larger than the Inspiron Mini 9. Priced at $600 upwards depending on the configuration, the netbook is powered by either Linux Ubuntu or Microsoft Windows XP OS with 1GB RAM, a choice of 60GB or 80GB hard drive, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity, an integrated webcam, and a 12.1 inch WXGA display screen. Dell today rolled out their new entry level LCD screens in the form of the 19-inch S1909WX and the 17-inch S1709W. Both LCDs provide 16:10 ratio, 1440×900 resolution and a detachable stand that allows users to use a VESA mount for display arms or walls. The Dell S1909WX boasts a 1,000:1 contrast ratio, 300cd/m2 brightness, with an HDCP-supporting DVI input providing video. Meanwhile the Dell S1709W features a VGA connector, a 600:1 contrast ratio and 250cd/m2 brightness for its smaller panel. The S1909WX retails for $199 and the S1709W is priced at only $179. Dell has rolled out their new LCD Monitor to the market. Known as the S2309W, the monitor features 16:9 aspect ratio, 1,920 x 1,080 resolution, 1,000:1 contrast ratio, a quick 5ms response time, and 300cd/m2 brightness. No info on pricing and availability at this time. Too bad, the Dell S2309W LCD Monitor does not have HDMI port and only provides DVI and VGA ports. [Electronista]
Dell Pocket projector M109S was specially designed for business users who are always on the go. Measuring only at 350grams, the projector is easily fit in the palm of your hand. The M109S provides 50 lumens with the resolution of 858 x 600 (SVGA), projection distance of up to 2.4 meters and uses LED as its light source with the lifespan of 4 years. Dell has finally released the new Studio Slim range of desktop PCs with the price at around $549 upwards. Each PC comes equipped with a 2.53GHz Core2Duo processors with 2GB RAM, an integrated graphics chipset, HDMI out and an optional Blu-ray disc drive. It seems that Dell is serious in the HDTV LCD monitor market. The company has recently released a new 24 inch 16:9 display in the form of the Dell S2409W. Dell has just announced addition to its Artistic Laptop Studio 15 and 17 designed by urban artist Mike Ming. Dell today released the XPS 730 gaming PC in Korea. This high-performance gaming desktop PC is based on Intel’s most recent X-series mainboard platform. The system also supports DDR3 memory and NVIDIA’s triple SLI technology that allows you to use three video cards at the same time to provide an extra boost to the latest 3D First Person Shooter video games.
