
Here comes 10,1 Megapixel point-and-shoot camera that also records hi-def movies. Sony has just unveiled its latest digital camera, Sony Cybershot DSC-T500. It features MPEG4 AVC/H.264 video capable of capturing frames at 30 per second at an HD resolution of 720p. The slick thing is you get to take stills at the tip of your finger, while you’re recording video, with no interruption at all. Other features include Face Detection, optical Image stabilization, and HDMI output to view both images and videos on HD display. RF System Lab’s RC-12 Wireless Mini Cam is able to send video over distances as far as 30 meters away or about 98 feet. The camera is able to shoot images underwater with the help of a waterproof case. FYI, the mini camera utilities a 0.25″ CMOS chip to snap full color images in VGA quality(0.27 megapixels). Panasonic has brought the Lumix DM-TZ50 to the States finally. You ever wanted a digital camera that you didn’t have to be so careful with? Well Olympus of Japan has just what you want with the new U1030SW digital camera that will drop pretty soon. It features a 10Mpix CCD and can be dropped from a height of 2m max, support a pressure of 100kg as well as dropped into 10m max of water without any damage. Unfortunately there’s no word on pricing or availability so you just might have to postpone your little adventure until further notice.
