The FujiFilm F480 is the company’s latest 8MP shooter that comes jam packed with 28mm wide-angle Fuji dragon lens with 4x optical zoom and 2.7 inch ultra LCD display. The camera utilities a special purpose lithium battery NP-40N for longer life and also supports XD/SD/SDHC memory cards for storage. It also has the photo sensitiveness equal to ISO800. The FujiFilm F480 retails for around $180(after conversion).
Sanyo Korea has released Xacti VPC-HD1000 camcorder in the Korean market. It is an ultra slim full HD digital camcorder that supports 43 minutes of full HD (1920 x 1080) video recording on a 4GB SDHC memory card with MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 codec. No word yet on pricing or availability.
The 7.1MP Sanyo Xacti DMX-HD700 mini HD camcorder utilities SD/SDHC card as its storage and supports MPEG4/AVC(H.264) video file compressing allowing users to conveniently upload its video clips to the internet. Available in silver, red and brown, the camcorder provides various functionalities including ‘Face Chaser Function’ and sports PictBridge function to print out its images through connected printer without a PC.
BenQ introduces its new DC-T800 8MP super-slim digital camera with a 3-inch touchscreen and “super shake-free” functionality. The digicam also provides Face Tracking feature, in-camera photo editing, 2000 ISO photos, 6400 ISO movies and 30fps 640 x 480 MPEG-4 recording. The DC-T800 should be available in October, 2007.
Spy Gadget’s Micro Camcorder is definitely one of the world’s smallest camcorders that we’ve seen. Designed to actually slip inside an empty pack of gum, this video camera features a “one touch record button,” captures video at a less-than-stellar 15fps, records footage on a microSD card, and can be recharged via USB. Additionally, you can also capture up to 33-hours of low-res video on a 1GB card, and two hours of that can be captured on a single charge.The device retails for $295.
Here is Sony’s latest portable camera, the Sony HDC-1500, which comprises of a newly developed CCD that provides the frame rate of 1080 60 frame progressive or field interlace according to the output required. The HDC-1500 integrates an advanced HD DSP with 14 Bit A/D converters and features an optical interface for transmission of high-quality digital data over long distances. The camera also has two HD SDI outputs and one digitally down-converted SDI output. With a high sensitivity f10 @ 2000 lux, it incorporates full featured multi-format studio/ob camera system, enhanced hdcu-1000 / 1500 control units and triax and/or fiber operation capability. Pricing info is still unknown.

This shooter also offers Fujifilm’s Face Detection Technology, which automatically identifies up to 10 faces in the frame to produce detailed results. Fujifilm FinePix Z10d red eye correction tool accompanies the camera to recognize and correct the red eyes to ensure better picture quality. The camera xD/SD compatible and it also supports SDHC (High capacity) Card for storage utilities.
