Here’s a fantastic news to all professional photographers out there. Canon plans to launch its latest 21M DSLR ‘EOS 1Ds Mark III’, featuring 21 Megapixel full frame (35mm) CMOS sensor, Dual “DIGIC III” processors to drive 5 fps continuous shooting for up to 56 frames, and Highlight Tone Priority. It also supports auto focus system with 19 cross type sensors and 26 focus assist points, ISO 100-1600 (expandable to L:50 H:3200), and 3-inch 230K pixel LCD with Live View mode. Samsung S760 And S860 Digital Cameras

Samsung will release two entry-level digital cameras from its S Series. Coming in a choice of black, silver, pink and blue colors, Samsung S760 and S860 will be featured a 3x optical zoom and a 2.4 inch LCD display, and support digital image stabilization, ISO 1000, functions description and a self-shot mode. The 7MP Samsung S760 will retail for around $165. Unfortunately, there is no pricing details for the 8MP S860 digital camera. Both cameras will be released in January 2008.

In summary the Fujifilm Finepix S8000fd offers a DSLR-like design with all the advantages of a compact digicam. The new 18x zoom is at last accompanied by a mechanical image stabilisation system, and the electronic viewfinder is much improved.

Pentax Optio A40 And V10 Digital Cameras

Pentax today introduced its new Optio A40 and Optio V10 digital cameras. The Optio A40 is a high-end compact camera that features a 12MP sensor with a 3x optical zoom, a 2.5-inch LCD screen, a range of shake-reducing measures, and face-recognition. This digicam has the ability to record in DivX. Meanwhile, the Optio V10 is a 8MP digital camera with a larger 3-inch LCD, and that same 3x optical zoom. The Optio A40 will be released later this month for $300, while the Optio V10 will be available in November for $250.

The BenQ DC-X735 7.2MP ultra-slim camera comes loaded with a 2.5-inch LCD display, 3 x zoom (4 x on the digital side), ISO to 6400 (in Movie Mode), MPEG4 video recording, and an SDHC slot for up to 4GB of storage capacity. Its face tracking function automatically detects and tracks up to nine human faces. This shooter also features 29 scene modes, including manual mode, S.S.F (Super Shake Free) mode, portrait mode and night scene mode. Coming in “Vixen-red” or “Midnight-black”, the camera will be available later this month.

Sanyo Xacti HD700 Pocket Camera

The Xacti HD700 pocket camera is able to record 720p video and 7MP still images to SD and SDHC cards. What makes this camera cool is that it can record AVC/H.264 MPEG-4 video, which greatly reduces file size while retaining quality. It also supports the Face Recognition feature that can track up to a dozen faces and adjust focus and exposure accordingly. Available in silver, red, and brown, the HD700 sports a 2.7-inch flip-out screen and uses a 38-190mm-equivalent, f/3.5-4.7 lens that only offers 5x zoom power. Sanyo’s Xacti HD700 will be available later next month for approx. $600.
