Apparently the Casio EX-F1 is a camera with no shutter, according to TechOn. Casio plans to release the EX-F1 March. The EX-F1 offers a continuous shooting speed of 60 fps (frames per second) (each frame is 6 Mpixels) and to shoot full HD (1080/60i) H.264 movies, and much more.

Samsung Newest Compact Cameras

This spring Samsung will add its compact range with the i80, i100 and S1060. The 8.1 mega pixel i80 features 3x optical zoom, 3-inch Intelligent LCD screen, Intelligent Face Recognition Technology for better people shots, Digital Image Stabilisation system, an ISO of 3200 and an integrated MP3 player.

The 10.2 mega pixel i100 also features 3x optical zoom, 3-inch screen, Intelligent Face Recognition Technology, ISO 3200, Dual Image Stabilisation system, media player and an in-built ‘World Tour Guide’ function which provides instant access to travel information covering 30 countries. The 10.2 mega-pixel S1060 has 5x optical zoom, 5x digital zoom and ISO 1600. There’s also a 2.7-inch LCD screen, Digital Image Stabilisation system and Intelligent Face Recognition Technology, which can recognize the faces of up to nine people, setting the appropriate exposure to ensure the highest image quality. Still no prices announced.

Olympus’ New Waterproof Stylus Model: 1030 SW

Olympus has announced the arrival of the newest waterproof stylus cameras, the stylus 1030 SW. It features 10.1-megapixel, 3.6X optical 28-102mm f/3.5-5.0 zoom lens and 2.7-inch HyperCrystal II LCD screen. It includes multiple underwater scene modes as well as scene modes for use in snow and beach conditions. It can withstand a drop from 6.6 feet and withstand up to 220 pounds of pressure. Olympus Stylus 1030 SW will be available in March for about $400.

Canon plans to launch its latest 21M DSLR ‘EOS 1Ds Mark III’, featuring 21 Megapixel full frame (35mm) CMOS sensor, Dual “DIGIC III” processors to drive 5 fps continuous shooting for up to 56 frames, and Highlight Tone Priority. It also supports auto focus system with 19 cross type sensors and 26 focus assist points, ISO 100-1600 (expandable to L:50 H:3200), and 3-inch 230K pixel LCD with Live View mode. Samsung will release two entry-level digital cameras from its S Series. Coming in a choice of black, silver, pink and blue colors, Samsung S760 and S860 will be featured a 3x optical zoom and a 2.4 inch LCD display, and support digital image stabilization, ISO 1000, functions description and a self-shot mode. The 7MP Samsung S760 will retail for around $165. Unfortunately, there is no pricing details for the 8MP S860 digital camera. Both cameras will be released in January 2008.

Pentax today introduced its new Optio A40 and Optio V10 digital cameras. The Optio A40 is a high-end compact camera that features a 12MP sensor with a 3x optical zoom, a 2.5-inch LCD screen, a range of shake-reducing measures, and face-recognition. This digicam has the ability to record in DivX. Meanwhile, the Optio V10 is a 8MP digital camera with a larger 3-inch LCD, and that same 3x optical zoom. The Optio A40 will be released later this month for $300, while the Optio V10 will be available in November for $250.

Sanyo Xacti HD700 Pocket Camera

The Xacti HD700 pocket camera is able to record 720p video and 7MP still images to SD and SDHC cards. What makes this camera cool is that it can record AVC/H.264 MPEG-4 video, which greatly reduces file size while retaining quality. It also supports the Face Recognition feature that can track up to a dozen faces and adjust focus and exposure accordingly. Available in silver, red, and brown, the HD700 sports a 2.7-inch flip-out screen and uses a 38-190mm-equivalent, f/3.5-4.7 lens that only offers 5x zoom power. Sanyo’s Xacti HD700 will be available later next month for approx. $600.
