
Sony just introduced two new Cyber-shot cameras in Europe. The 10.1MP Cybershot W180 and 12.1MP Cybershot W190 feature Sony’s smile shutter technology, 3x zoom stabilized with SteadyShot, 2.7-inch LCD, ISO 3200 sensitivity, and 7 automatic scene selection modes. Pentax will release K-7 in the Japanese market in the end of June this year. It is a lens-interchangeable digital SLR camera that has a wide array of advanced functions and user-friendly features. The K-7 features a 14.6 effective megapixels, a high-speed movie data transmission, and a newly developed PRIME (PENTAX Real Image Engine) II that provides greater data-processing speed and produces better-quality images with richer gradation and more accurate color rendition. Panasonic will release in the UK the HDC-SD10 and the HDC-TM10 that are claimed to be the world’s lightest Full HD camcorders. Weighing at 227grams, both camcorders are capable of recording 1920 x 1080 HD images and has a 16x optical zoom, Advanced Optical Image Stabiliser, Face Detection Technology, and an intelligent scene selector, which claims to determine the shooting conditions and automatically selects the scene setting that will provide optimal results. If you are a fan of Sony’s DSLRs, then you will be glad to hear that Sony has introduced three new Alpha DSLRs. The A380, A330 and A230 support MS and SD/SDHC cards, tilt LCD, and Sony’s new Quick AF Live View. The A380 features 14.2MP sensor, meanwhile the A230 and A330 have only a 10.2MP sensor. If you plan to buy a new 10-megapixel digicam this week, then you can choose the Pentax Optio E75. The camera has a 3x optical zoom, a 2.7-inch LCD display at 230k resolution, and an automatic scene modes. This new digicam comes with an ISO range of 80 to 1600, Face Detection, Face-priority and Automatic Smile Detection modes. BenQ today unveiled two members of its popular C series digicam with the launch of the 10MP DC C1020 and the 12MP DC C1220. Both cameras feature a 3x optical zoom, Super-Shake-Free mode with high-ISO supported, Smile Catch mode and video recording with optical zoom at a resolution of 16:9 (720×400) with 30 frames per second. Samsung just released the WB1000 digicam in Europe. The camera is also known as the WB100 or TL320 in the US. It features a 24mm ultra wide angle, a 5x optical zoom, and a 3.0 inch AMOLED monitor that consumes less power but produces a higher contrast ratio of 10,000:1, darker black levels, more vibrant colors, and a brighter display that can easily be viewed in direct sunlight. Pentax has released the Pentax K20D Titanium Limited Edition that features a 2.8-inch LCD screen, image stabilization and dust proofing. The original version of the Pentax K20D is available for $700, meanwhile the limited edition Titanium version costs a whopping $1199. Panasonic has announced three new digital cameras for its Lumix FS series. The 12MP FS12 comes with 4x (31-124mm equiv.) optical zoom and a 2.7-inch LCD with Intelligent Auto mode, Optical Image Stabilization and Face Detection. Meanwhile, the DMC-FS62 and FS42 feature 10MP sensors with 2.5-inch LCDs, 4x (33-132mm equiv.) zoom lenses and include features such as Intelligent ISO Control, Intelligent Scene Selector and Face Detection.
